I just had a quick look and it seems it might do so as there is certainly options to generate artist and track titles or any other text based information from a text file.
There is also the following code in the breakawayone-processing config file
    rds_tp_enable=0

If Breakaway Pipeline doesn't show up in iTunes soundcard output preferences (I'm assuming there is such a preferences because you are telling me, i do not use Apple products)… then Apple are specifically doing this on purpose, and you need to contact Apple support to have them fix their problem that they created. Good luck with that. 😀

If we see a bunch more reports of this, obviously we'll communicate with them, I still have some decent contacts there (including a vice president) so… I can make things happen. But obviously I'm waiting till we get flooded with people reporting the same problem before I bother anyone at Apple about it.

I hope you can figure out the problem. 🙂 Have you tried re-installing Breakaway Pipeline? reinstalling iTunes? reinstalling QuickTime or whatever other Apple software that iTunes or any other Apple product/s that you have installed on your computer?

Hi there. I haven't looked into this any further myself as i have no need to use itunes with breakaway pipeline. It was curiosity to see if it could work that caused me to have a look to see if it would work.

Yes breakaway 1 does event logging. There is a log folder where the configuration files are. To find the configuration files, click data folders in the breakaway 1 shortcut folder and then click into ba1 config files.

I have read and re-read the pricing details on the BA1 site, and I am damned if I can get my head around all the options. Sadly, several other BA users in Australia have contacted me as I am an Admin on this forum, and I haven't been able to help them. This is not a reflection on the website, nor the pricing model. It's probably that I am just too dense to comprehend it.

Let's take my case. I was a BA DJ user, so I (unfortunately) don't qualify for a free upgrade. OK, so, my immediate needs are for one HD core for playing music in my home studio. This costs US$149. Now, I would really prefer to run it as a service, and therefore need the Remote Control capability. Add US$99. So, for US$248 I would have everything I need to play my music through BA1 as a service, and still be able to "talk" to it if I want to change a preset or whatever.

    Am I right?

That is how i understood it anyway from reading it. You basically pay per core licence and for BA-remote. So if you want a hd core and BA-remote, you will pay for licences for each. If you want an fm core as well, you pay for a licence for that.

Request. The slam slider to go higher. 6 maybe. I used to use 2 impact clunks with just the slam slider set on the old breakaway and i liked it. better then using bassfx and impact clunk in my view. Love the new version of the software

Impact clunk and bassfx are availible but integrated into the software rather then being plugins. AutoBalance isn't availible unfortunately or at least i can't find it. They're is a phase rotator plugin but from using it it seems to be different to phase scrambler (i would suggest maybe leaving it off) . Pre-emphasis is only availible in the fm core, 50 and 75 only. The hd core (which is what you would use for streaming) doesn't have pre-emphasis or at least it's probably set to 15.

    I'm afraid not!

I see. That is unfortunate. Apparently some presets are in broadcast only and don't feature in live. Amsterdam is probably one of them.

pretty much… the audio is on the pc, the software plays the audio through the sound card.

today, I am using Audio Enhancer before it goes out the sound card into an FM transmitter over a small jack.

I just moved to a computer based FM transmitter.  The signal chain is all digital.

My question was, is there any different enhancing the Broadcast Processor provides over the Audio Enhancer.

more presets i believe, not sure enhancer allows for the free dsp plugins that enhance the sound more also. if you are broadcasting on fm then i would suggest looking at the broadcast version. you can trial the programs anyway so do so and see which fits your needs the best

There's a DLL, but obviously if you open that in Notepad it's gobbledegook!

So there is no config file of the same name, effectmuxer?

By broadcast fm, i'm taking it you play a radio and feed it through enhancer. If so, then enhancer should meet your needs (all though if the station is processed all ready i'm not sure why you would want to process it again but to each their own)

High. In the breakaway live folder, does a config file called effectmuxer exist? If so, open it and look for the following, ObsoletePresets=0
change the 0 to 1 and see does that work.

I am looking in to buying one of your products but am a bit unsure which one. I would use it for processing audio on my Twitch Stream and while it would seem the Broadcast Processor would be most suited and using the demo it is very, very nice. Some of the features of this product however do not really apply and the price is a tad on the steep side for my purposes and budget. I also think I would not be alone in that.

With the rise of streaming there would IMO be an opportunity for a trimmed down version of the BBP which would loose the 'specific' broadcast features at a bit friendlier price. What are your thoughts on this?

breakaway live would probably meet your needs if or when you get breakaway to work

so, you will send cable from mixer and equipment into the processer which will be at the studio? and then you want to send the signal to the transmitter site via adobe flash player? from what i can see on flash player there isn't a way to route sound from breakaway.
heres an idea you might consider. mixer via cable into computer running edcast either winamp or stand alone using flac, if you can get one maybe a rasbury pie computer might be a better option? stream to breakaway computer at transmitter site using winamp and the livelink plugin. and again if you can get one, have your winamp at the transmitter site run on a rasbury pie computer and then use a cable from that to your breakaway processing computer. of course if you need to keep the processer at the studio, you can run edcast standalone and record from whatever pipeline you use as your out and stream to the rasbury pie at the transmitter site. so, mixer, cable, processer, stream via edcast, rasbury pie, cable, transmitter. hope that helps. of course others might have other suggestions on doing this
