You can also make the settings in the app, and once your done run it as a service. But the remote controle makes live easier, and you can also control and monitor it from other locations / systems.
As I understand it, you don't get the option to run as a service UNLESS you buy Remote Control.
December 23, 2016 at 10:31 pm in reply to: Tips for migrate sound processing from BBP to BBO! #14716MilkyKeymasterI really like the "LEIFF" preset myself.
MilkyKeymasterAre you using ASIO drivers? If so, you might need to increase your block size slightly. The "crackle" could be when the buffer just runs out before the next one refills it.
MilkyKeymasterYou should be able to find most of those settings are available in BreakawayOne. Clunk and Bass-EFX is included, but not AutoBalance. TWENTE is not in the initial package, but there are several which should give a similar result.
MilkyKeymasterHmm, that didn't happen to me, but I believe that the licence for VAC (Breakaway pipeline) is integrated with the app, but comes separately, so I think that BAB should still see the newer version. I recall that JesseG had advised anyone having trouble with Windows 10 when it first came out could install a later version of any BA product, and then uninstall it again, leaving the updated VAC behind.
I think that the random jingle emanates from BreakawayOneApp, not from VAC, so you should not hear the jingle if you revert.

Nice work Leif!If I want to install a demo of Breakaway One on a computer that already has Breakaway Broadcast on it, will both of them still work? Reason I ask is I want to test Breakaway One before converting my existing Breakaway Broadcast license over to a Breakaway One license.
Thanks.
It creates a separate folder structure and has a different exe (BreakawayOneApp.exe), so I believe that the two can co-exist. I was running Breakaway DJ, and that still runs independently of BA1.
MilkyKeymasterWelcome back to your REAL job Leif :-).
To everyone reading this, I have had the opportunity to "play" with this for 24 hours and I can honestly say that I have been blown away. The features, the presentation, and of course, the SOUND! Brilliant!

Hi!
Maybe I'm not doing something right, but when I make a screen capture recording of a video or live broadcast with FastStone I get no sound in the recording. I hear the sound while recording, but playing it back it's silent: only the images show.I've tried using Bypass, and Shut Down, and in the latter case all sound is gone. I just uninstalled Breakaway Audio Enhancer to make a recording with sound, but now all sound is gone also. So to get it back I'll reinstall it again, but how is this?
PS:
The verification measures to post here are very cumbersome… I've never seen this on any forum. And I can hardly make out some of the letters, and since the sound is gone, I can't hear them either…I've already had to retry 8 times. This is ridiculous, sorry.

MilkyKeymasterYou should have received an email with the licence code in it. Can you search your old PC for that? If not, try writing to keith@claessonedwards.com and ask for clarification of the licence rules, and also for a replacement code.
MilkyKeymasterI believe that it is a single user license, so it can only exist on one PC. You might be able to read the EULA when you install the new copy (It should exist in the folder as well). Obviously, a fee is expected to change hands each time a license is issued. I am just not sure if there is provision in the agreement to keep a backup copy.
MilkyKeymasterWhat OS?
Have yu looked at this topic?New Breakaway Update & BSOD/Win10 Fix For Professional Versions
MilkyKeymasterThanks DJ Buik. I eventually bit the bullet this past week and let Windows 10 update. I'm pleased to say that BADJ was one of the few things which survived without some tweaking. However, my point still remains that any development on BADJ seems to have stalled big time.
MilkyKeymasterGreat news that something is starting to be done about this. I bought Breakaway DJ, which seems to be the "poor cousin", and not even mentioned in the email. It also has the lowest number of presets.
If it is scheduled to be upgraded, I point out that the "free" migration to Windows 10 must be completed by July 29.
MilkyKeymasterThere is bound to be a delay of some sort, for every time the digital signal is processed. A lot will depend on the PC's processor – the faster it is, the lower the delay. ASIO is also a much more efficient way of processing, so the latency could drop to only a few milliseconds. I am using Breakaway DJ with ASIO, and cannot discern any out-of-synch with music videos.
I believe the demo is exactly the same as the full version, except a voice-over drops in from time to time.
MilkyKeymasterThe latest major update to Win 10 seems to have fixed most BA problems reported in the past. The particular one your debug dump refers to is from the version of Virtual Audio Cables which is incorporated in the product. Try the Win10 update first, then check for the latest version of VAC.
