    Hi Sgeirk,

First check that your card are locked to 192K internal.
If not, click the button with the small circle "Session Settings" and select 192K Internal.
If the 192K is not in the list, create a new session and select "product default" from 192K tab.

    Try the following:
-Mute all the faders on the patchmix except "PCI Card in R & L". Be sure for PAN -90 at L input and +90 at R channels at the strips.
-At the "MAIN INSERTS" add (right click at the first one) an "Insert Send (Output to ASIO/WAVE of Physical Out)".
    Select "HOST WAVE L/R"

-At the "Wave 1/2" strip, right click at the first empty box of the "INSERTS" and add an "Insert Send (Output to ASIO/WAVE of Physical Out)" again.
    Select "PCI Card Out L/R"

On BBP Select both Emu @ 192Khz for In/Out.

Now the sound comes from Analog In of Emu and via the BBP goes to the Emu analog out.
If you want to send the same signal at digital out also, add under the pci card out L/R a new insert with "PCI Card S/PDIF L/R"

….I think that this should be work.

    Of course!

There are several ways to slim down windows. I prefer to disable some of the services only.

You can use a software to setup the order of the programs that you need to startup with the OS and the delay
of each of them to be sure that the drivers are loaded before automation software or BBP, encoders etc.

Also you can select from Windows msconfig to startup your computer without GUI.
    msconfig.exe ->BOOT.INI tab ->select /NOGUIBOOT ->Apply,OK, reboot….

(Before select NOGUIBOOT and restart the pc, select for backround solid black color) 😉

    Also,

Xonar D2 finally (for me after a lot of tests) is a very good card but when I’ve tryied to run it
on an ASIO mode of BBP has a lot of problems (0.90.69).

Personally, I suggest this card for digital in/out and for analog also.
Seems that works OK with the pipelines with 0.90.93.

    …Continues testing…..

    Hi Leif,

    Same problem with 4 audiocards.

    Configurations (OS: WinXP SP2, W2K3 SP1):

    1) Digital Out from Emu (coaxial or optical) to a) Xonar, b) Esi Juli@, c) Esi Maya44e

With 0.90.69 the only card that works perfect was Xonar !
With 0.90.92 all the above cards had the same effect…..

    2) Digital Out from mixer (coaxial), the sound comes to mixer analog from Emu again.

With 0.90.69 the only card that works perfect was Xonar again…
With 0.90.92 all the above cards had the same effect…..

All the above cards works OK (no clicks-pops or lost sync) if receive the sound analog
from Emu or from the mixer.

I’ve sent you a detailed PM at 3 Dec regarding this problem and the configurations of PC’s….

We had the opportunity to reproduce this issue on 5 different hardware configurations (Home PC’s and Servers).

The only that we do last two weeks was tests, tests, tests of BBP 0.90.92…..

Sometimes, when we go to sleep we still hearing this clicks-pops

    George-John

    Hi Leif!

Good to have a new release to solve this problem !!!

Except this case with the pipelines, this release solves also the issue with the digital in (coaxial/optical) of the Soundcard+BBP?
Seems to be a common problem of lost sync also to my setup with digital in-out of BBP.

Problem reduced 99% if I select analog input on soundcard ! 🙄
    (Emu0404 pci, ESI Juli@, ESI Maya44e, Asus Xonar D2)

    Another three tracks from me….

Ott – The Queen Of All Everything (amazing track!)
Nouvelle Vague – In A Manner Of Speaking
Juliet Edwards – Cajun Moon (Not great recording but good to adjust the dynamics, specially at the intro with the main song)

I don’t know or I didn’t understand the advantages of WMA10 codec on streams from 128k-192k
but I see that many internet radio players (stand alone as Roku Soundbridge) isn’t compatible with this… 😕

I use this card 6 years now with excellent results.
Also with BBP running more than 8 months now.

But ok, for some people the GUI and the way to route the sound seems like a nightmare…

Leif, what’s your experience regarding drivers issues with the EMU?

    Hi Leif,

I have a question to ask long time now….
For streaming (only), why do we limit the bandwidth at 16K?

It is logic for FM but for streaming?
