Why would you ever need/want to stream at 320?? That is very excessive. Unless it's on an internal network, you wouldn't want to stream this over the public internet…
They designed it to be automatic based on the target destination. For streaming, it depends on the codec and bit rate. For FM or HD, they have their own optimal settings. The big push for BAO is to make things simple and not have an over-abundance of settings. My guess is there's no plans for this to be a setting.

The biggest frustration with Windows 10 is the difficulty folks have with disabling automatic updates/reboots. I understand there are ways to address this depending on the version (Home vs. Pro vs. Enterprise) you run. If you don't connect it to the internet, that's a non-issue.Be sure your audio path is like this:
Audio Player Output > Breakaway Pipeline 1
Breakway Pipeline 1 > BreakawayOne Processor Input
BreakwayOne Processor Output > Speakers or another Audio Output (Sound card, etc)You can use additional Pipelines to route audio to different places. This is very simplified and your setup may be different, but this is the general idea.
Pull the Final Drive down to -3. That was the instruction I received from Leif. I'm not sure, though if it does EXACTLY what we're thinking it does. I feel like this is more like an intensity or density setting. I've dragged it all the way down and it continues to show 0db on the Output Meter, just much more dynamic content. I've understood that they hard-coded the volume level at the encoder based on the bitrate and other settings.

On this subject, you mention that using a declipper without attenuation would produce these very high peaks. In my situation, I use ReplayGain to tag all my flac and the few MP3s I still have to the standard 2.0 setting of -18db. Would you say, in my case, that I wouldn't need to really attenuate further in the declipper to avoid those high peaks (even though your system handles it well enough)? What would be ideal?

When you mentioned above that you weren't dithering correctly, it brought up another question… In Foobar2000, which is the tool I use to convert WAV files to FLAC, there's an option for dithering. If I recall, the choices are Never, Always, and Lossy Sources Only. The WAV files are 16 bit and the FLAC output is set to 16 bit. Which dithering option would work the best? Do I need dithering in this case?

I see that you're using a Pro edition of Windows 10 so you can disable automatic updates, do this. I use Server 2016 and it's very stable. I only reboot if I have to for some reason. I think every month or two I manually do windows updates but I only do it because I chose to. Ultimately, with your computer, this should work great for months and months.
I have a very similar setup and BaOne is so very light on resources. With BaOne and Station Playlist, I'm seeing roughly 2-3% of CPU use. Ram is also very minimal. I don't have the number in mind at the moment but it's very small. I've never seen it build up RAM or CPU. I believe low resources is one of the biggest hallmarks of BaOne. Stability and amazing sound is what you'll get.
Can you be more detailed or specific? What are you seeing? How much RAM does your computer have? 32 or 64 bit OS? How much ram are you seeing being used by BaOne? How old/new is your computer? These kind of details are going to be super helpful to help troubleshoot.
The built-in encoder in SPL is hard-coded to the internal player, there's no input selection. I think Ross sells an external encoder that has more features.
Unfortunately, the only way that this would work is if BAOne was available as a DSP, which it isn't. You'd have to use an external encoder like BUTT or Altacast and use virtual audio cables (breakaway pipelines) in between. I don't think Leif is interested in creating a DSP version, at least he hasn't been in the past.
