    Nice sound 🙂

    @ Tubular Bells 2003…

Check out Tubular Bells 2, from the early 90s. Imho even better sound than 2003 version, and that guitar sound…. OH MY GOD man…. find me a better clean electric guitar sound than that right there. I dare you.

    😆

I don’t know if you have heard a Yellowtec VIP 2… but that’s going to be pretty hard to beat. 🙂

A lot of the things that are in Vista’s audio system are actually a great thing too. Like global and speaker-level effects… speaker & room correction (yea, it does that, very well too), microphone array processing which can directionally focus on voice removing noise etc… there’s literally a laundry list of new stuff that was added that I really think was great.

But yeah, they failed to keep the legacy interfaces working seamlessly withing the new environment & features.

7 brings back that compatibility AND is still has all of those new and awesome features which very few people have bothered to know exists yet. 😉

"the loudspeakers" probably entails a bunch of cars more than one might guess. my guess is very very few of them have aux inputs, and even if they all did… would you really want a bunch of separate circuits all connecting into your studio’s? personally i wouldn’t allow that in 100 years. the only answer is to do low-latency transmission, and if it can be done with very little compromise from the clarity of Breakaway, then… you’re still doing pretty darn good.

Let us know here when the stream is going, where to get it. That page you linked has not been updated much. 😉

I really like it. 🙂 Sometimes (most imho) NOT being the loudest sounding station on the dial, but the BEST sounding station… = WIN. There of course is the issue of stuff that sounds louder actually having the perception of sounding better, but that only lasts for 7 seconds, and only if the person doesn’t adjust the volume within that.

If that 7 seconds of slight advantage (in some ways yea, in some ways not) for sounding "better" because of that phenomenon… can be thrown by the way-side… like I know it can be… then given the right programming, and you can OWN any market for TSL.

Combine that with the right genra, and baby… you’re number one. 8)

Yeah this sounds better now. It seems like it could use a bit more bass.

Are you using Clunk:1 Slam:2 from the plugins page?
    http://www.claessonedwards.com/plugins/

    I recommend trying it. 🙂

One thing I do plan on changing and talking about with Leif… is possibly retuning the Bass-EFX plugin. (I have a version of it that allows for total control of the algorithm that is basically the same in all of those)… If I come up with a good suggestion for him to listen to, we’ll do that.

For now I personally stopped using Bass-EFX because as nice as the super-low thud can be (most of the time), it generally takes away from the bass impact for 90% of all songs and playback systems. Not only that, even on reference-level listening setups… I’ve run into a number of tracks that it actually completely removes the low bass on. 😳

Anywho… my only recommendation would be to try Clunk:1 Slam:2.. see what that does to the bass. If you’re already using that, then try turning up the Bass level a tad in Breakaway. 🙂 Possibly turning up the Shape too (just a touch, not more than like +8 or it could get more muddy.)

Use Breakaway Broadcast, turn up final drive, turn up the bass. 😉

It’s balanced over to the left too much, even that out. Otherwise it’s not bad… Kind of quiet for the amount of density you have. You could try reducing the final drive, and reducing whatever form of attenuation you’re doing between Breakaway’s output, and you encoder. You’ll get the same average level, with louder & more dynamic peaks.

Good to hear some more oldies stations.

I would add an attenuator if it was needed, otherwise I wouldn’t. There are plenty of ways to test for clipping, and if it was clipping it would be needed, otherwise it wouldn’t.

    I just could not resist…

This is not actually my opinion… I just couldn’t resist the urge to join in the "fun" of totally shameless marketing hype. Can you believe people get paid to do this?
    😆

(i would be lying if i said i had not worked for a few ad agencies before 😉 )

Ah, you’re right. My bad @ Live. What I said about Breakaway Broadcast was true, just never noticed that the meter was like that on Live.

Just goes to show how much I actually use the release flavors of Breakaway. 😉 My main use for Breakaway Live is to make myself sound like God on Skype. Lol, seriously. It *does* sounds great too.

^ for voice ONLY btw 😉
