    I kind of like Regulator on a Modern Rock format…albeit with the bass drive pulled back *a little.*

    Otherwise, I really like this plutonium setting for Rock. Love an Omnia 6, or hate an Omnia 6, I do feel that it is THE box to beat. I particularly dig their new AAA preset. I still cannot get over the fact I’m finding Breakaway to be competitive with an Omnia 6! Yowza.

    I like these for modern rock formats:

    Plutonium
    drive 1.5
    range 66
    power 48
    speed 50
    bass boost +2
    bass shape +10

    Regulator
    1.2
    65
    40
    40
    boost -2
    shape 0

    I think Regulator has a nice effect on today’s rock stuff, especially given that a lot of the younger demos flip back and forth from rumpshaking chr/churbans to young rock stations.

    Okay, I have some recommended settings!

    Plutonium (or Plutonium NR)

    Final Drive +1.0
    Range 50, Power 50, Speed 50
    Bass Cut: -10
    Bass Shape: 0

    AND

    Bass-EFX: Level 3
    Impact/Clunk: Clunk 1, Slam 2

    Hot diggity-damn! 🙂 I’m loving it.

    Final drive -3
    Range 50
    Power 50
    Speed 55
    Bass normal Shape -10

    Phase Tornado 😆
    Bas EFX Level3
    Spartacus stereo enchanger

    Soundcard M-audio revolution , tilt 20

    I’m using the new free plugins with my Optimod 8100 sound, but I like to know is it still an Optimod 8100 sound with these settings? It sounds awesome b.t.w, but the meters are going in red very often. It also sounds very French. Lot of stations from France are sounding so with there Omnia’s and Unity2000i (in the 80’s).

    DSP_PhaseTornado will definitely make it NOT sound like an 8100 — they’ve never had those kind of phase problems. Bob Orban actually knows what he’s doing — he’d never release a processor sounding like that. 🙂

    Impact/Clunk, on the other hand, would be a better choice.

    Erwin, the red flashing is not good. Load the 6dB attenuator, as the first plug-in in the chain. This takes care of it.

    Sounds fine now and no red meters anymore 😉. Also with the dsp_BASS-EFX. But what’s the best line up, 1st 6dB attenuator plugin and than?

    Spartacus? How did you do that? I can’t load it in BBP, it’s a VST plugin.

    Put it after the attenuator. Other than that, it doesn’t really matter. 🙂
