Use the built in encoder chain. It always uses de-emphasis when required. Plus then you’re removing one more link from the chain, which is always good.

Oh yeah duh… how could I forget about this one. This is the last exciter you’ll ever need. 8)JesseGMember
Maybe unknowns brand, but good transmitter for less money: http://www.pcs-electronics.com/cybermax … -1404.html
Does that have a composite input on it that bypasses all of their audio processing? If all I wanted was less than say… 300 watts, I would get one of these:

and then build my own amp for it. Saving the money for a decent antenna. They do make something close to your needs though:

Great quality, not cheap. Just the exciter, and building your own amp, and you’re probably still talking about less than $250 USD total.JesseGMember
What are the plans for Breakaway DJ?
Will it be updated, or will it be obsolete when the new versions of the other products wil come out?
I don’t know for sure, but as far as I heard last… it will all be updated.JesseGMemberDid you try also Virtual Audio Cable v4.09 ?
http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm
http://software.muzychenko.net/trials/vac409.zipIt’s basically the same thing as the older Breakaway Pipeline, and won’t be installed over by newer versions of the Breakaway Pipeline.
JesseGMemberI used to run almost 80 Ots machines. Believe me… I feel the pain with that. But Ots is still a quality product, for what it does. There is definitely a lack of attention to what the public requests though, if you’ve ever talked with "admin" you know what I mean. Even for the setup I worked on, which was probably the largest ever, nothing we ever requested was put into Ots. But they can run their business however they want. I have nothing bad to say about Ots. 8)

The BAE (Breakaway Audio Enhancer) update will be well worth the wait, since Leif wants to be able to put Undo into BAE. It’s basically up to licensing where the possibly changed price of BAE will be at. (with upgrade paths of course, if this happens)
Not to mention the 5.1 version… if you have a 5.1 setup, the industry standard UPMAX upmixing (which should be included) is going to blow your mind.
JesseGMember
As a child of the 70s, that’s something I truly appreciate.
Dorrough DAP310 & CBS Volumax. 8)JesseGMemberThe upcoming versions of BAE will have a much lower drive into the final limiters, you’ll be happy to know. 🙂 Leif also wants to make it possible to bring Undo into BAE, possibly by increasing the price (an upgrade path will of course be available). Between those two things, the concerns of the original poster will not only be removed from the equation, but will actually be a *better* scenario with BAE enabled… for much of the modern recordings coming out within the last 15-some-odd years.
If you haven’t heard what Undo is yet… basically it’s a flawless declipper and a psycho-acoustics based dynamics restoration effect… in other words, it removes the loudness war from everything you run through it. It’s a HUGE revolution in audio processing. 8)
JesseGMemberThe 64 bit drivers represents a complete recode of ALL of their drivers, into a unified driver. So this effects ALL of their customers. I’m glad they are hopefully taking the time to do it right, instead of rushing and releasing buggy crap. I’m hoping that’s what’s happening. I think we’ll find out what the real story is soon though.
JesseGMemberLive runs fine for sure, many instances should run fine. It’s low CPU use.
Not sure on Breakaway Broadcast. It should though… I think I recall that the "Extra Low CPU" mode even worked on a higher-end single core Atom. But don’t quote me on it. I’ll point Leif to this topic.
JesseGMember
From a 3D-world point of view, it still takes (the same) time. Or am i missing something?…
A time machine.April 25, 2011 at 8:21 pm in reply to: *URGENT* GLITCH’S ON XP WITH NEW BREAKAWAY BROADCAST 09_0_95 #12105JesseGMemberI know VAC v4.09 doesn’t have this problem, as well as the older Pipelines (which is a licensed copy of VAC). I unfortunately can’t show you how to install older versions of Pipeline onto the system, since there’s no copy protection on it. But I can say that it’s not too difficult to figure out if you just watch how the installer is doing it.
JesseGMemberI have a great reason for why you CAN hear it, and it’s not because of the unit itself.
It’s because the Vitalizer is before breakaway, and it’s not a completely program dependent unit. The "excitation" is mainly driven by the actual signal level. Evening this out *does* improve the operation of Vitalizer (or anything effected like it is by varying input levels) greatly.
That’s why in future versions of Breakaway, the plan is to probably drop Winamp support for the plugins before Breakaway, and to definitely support VST plugins *between* the AGC and the multiband.

By the way…………….. the stream sounds great. 🙂 (when it’s available, which it is responding with ICY 401 right now)
JesseGMemberYep, I’ve banned over a dozen IP ranges in a few days myself. I’m on it.
JesseGMemberYep cool, yeah I’ve admin’d a half dozen larger SMF forums now, never had a problem defeating the spammers with a few add-on packages.
