Are you using the Bass plugin or anything exotic?
sgeirkMemberYou really want .96. It has stereo challenger and the latest presets. BUT it still doesn’t have Passive Aggressor. Looking forward to the next step!!!

Seriously, I want to try and duplicate this and see what it sounds like.
sgeirkMemberThe latest beta of live and bbp have the eruption preset. Links are at the top of the forum.

What settings are being used?

That’s all I can say.
sgeirkMemberYes and no. The software does not support this…but you can have a human being turn off the processing 🙂
The breakaway "box" will likely support automated preset switching.
sgeirkMemberBecause an earlier poster wanted to know.
I’m using Jesse’s Stereo Challenger suggested settings. It’s still a work in progress. It’s a little "busy" sounding for my taste…but man does it pop. I like the midrange boost compared to Plutonium.

bass plug 2sgeirkMemberFrankly, it’s a testament of the "REAL" sound that Breakaway offers. Given my market, I’ve found that tuning Regulator and adjusting the bass has gotten me closest to the sound I’m after. I prefer Plutonium or Rustonium for our internet streams. But, putting it on the air is a different deal. Thanks for the tip. We have SM7’s, AT2020 condensers and a mix of Symetrix (528) and DBX286 processors.
sgeirkMemberBTW,
Jesse’s settings are my favorite so far. Pretty freaking spot-ON.
sgeirkMemberI find that for over-the-air Plutonium/Breakaway actually does a magnificent job on today’s sludgy, hypercompressed material, the AGC does a much better job than the expensive boxes!
Relatively? It’s impossible to undo what’s been done in the mastering facility.
sgeirkMemberHave you tried something like a compellor in front of the card?
Or are you generating the audio on the machine itself?

sgeirkMemberGet a 192khz soundcard.
