MemberHi JesseG.
Do you have specific parameters for the .cfg file for this version of edcast modified ?
ThanksGuillou
MemberJust simply click on the link that you have quoted…
All is explained.Guillou
MemberSame question as JesseG : HE or PS ?
An other question. Have you tested the modified version of edcast ?

This version would improve PS… I haven’t tested it yet.
Edcast doesn’t seems to be developped by his autor…Guillou
MemberJust a "out of topic" question…
What’s the sax title at about 3:01"00 ?
ThanksGuillou
MemberWhich are your preset ?
Guillou
MemberI’m very curious JesseG, but can you tell us your DBX286A settings ?
ThanksGuillou
MemberNothing that icecast can’t do…
And icecast do it better and for a long time ! 🙂Guillou
MemberLower jingles would be a great option because we use SPL + BBP and we have no problem.
BBP is excellent !!! 🙂

MemberVery gooood for me but just a little too bass for me (question of taste).
I haven’t yet played with excessive down and up speed and power… But the result is very very good for CHR format for example.Guillou
Member
BBP ASIO shouldn’t do steaming (not ideal sound quality) and BBP LIVE cannot do FM at all.
Can you please give me more details about this…
If BBP ASIO is in "phase linear" mode, why wouldn’t it be ideal sound quality with a 15 or 25us pre-emphasis ? Isn’t it like BBP for webcasting with this settings ?Guillou
MemberNot exactly, you can have 0.90.96 …97 …98 …99 but after, it can be 0.91.00 …01…….. 😉
And what about BBP for webcasting ?
I missed something…
Did you explain somewhere why BBP Live is better for webcasting ?Guillou
MemberNo problem with edcast from many years (about 2004). Edcast dsp or standalone works perfectly for me… 🙂
Moreover, it’s free… and run with aac+ v2 dll.Guillou
MemberI would reduce the gain of B4 to 8db for a less wide stereo for some low bitrate streams… What do you think about it ?
Guillou
MemberThis is wide stereo.
What would you do to make it sound soft but nice stereo ? Because you said in a previous post that this sound is wide stereo and these settings are made to prevent "blur vocals"… -
