Only i can’t afford a 1100 and i can afford BBP 😉 But i guess BBP sounds just as good…
I sold my optimod card a few months ago en bought BBP .
BBP sounds much better 😉
AppieMember
Spartacus (as far as I’ve heard) tries to emulate a 222, but didn’t quite get it right.
The 222 expands only on transients. In Spartacus, however, the transient detector is dependent on the input level. Thus, louder songs will get widened more than quiet songs. If you don’t hear any difference at all, it may be that your input level is too low for Spartacus, but there is no ideal solution other than putting it AFTER a compressor, which would cause other problems.
I’ll make a proper stereo enhancer at some point, but aural exciter is ahead on the list, and another project is again ahead. 😉

Spartacus is a stereo enhancer based on the Orban A222 Stereo Spatial Enhancer. Instead of enhancing the whole signal, it only enhances the attack transients. This way you hear a wider sound without unnaturally exaggerated reverberation.

Twente preset updated — much better bass handling.
LiveLink DSP support in both Breakaway Broadcast and Breakaway Live!
LiveLink DSP allows you use BBP or Live with DSP plug-in hosts such as SpacialAudio’s SAM Broadcaster, without using Breakaway Pipeline (thus circumventing Microsoft RDP Audio Driver). Instructions here.
Also new: A page with free DSP plug-ins!
For example, 3 Phase Rotation DSP plug-ins.
Unlike the Phase Scrambler built into Breakaway Broadcast, these are traditional phase rotators tuned in different ways. Two of them simulate the sound of other audio processors — especially "Phase Tornado" 🙂. Check them out on the free plug-ins page.
Oh, and the new versions:
Breakaway Live 0.90.69
Breakaway Broadcast 0.90.69Best regards,
///Leif
Thanks Leif for the new update ,
I try the new twente preset amazing !!
More body !! en loud
Also the new phase rotator tornado also amazing ..
Maybe for the plugins you can added spartacus for the people who need stereo enchangment ?For the people who need a loudnessmeter with BBP there is a free meter on the Orban site ..
I use these with BBP So you can check your loudness against other stations .
And see that BBP is louder But CLEANER 😆AppieMember
Appie, you can boost the bass with the Bass Boost slider 🙂. Don’t forget to also turn Final Drive down a little bit to make some headroom for the extra bass.
///Leif
Yes youre right …. i know but i mis some body in the twente preset .
i prefer the New York preset , VERY LOUD and clean .
AppieMember
Howdy!
Breakaway Broadcast Processor 0.90.67 beta is released.
New presets:
Rusticity ’73 and Rusticity ’83 by Jesse G. Jesse describes them as "A union of an old age and of a new." In short, they’re nice oldschool sounding presets, sounding completely unlike any other Breakaway presets.
Twente, by yours truly. Named after a region in the Netherlands where a lot of pirate broadcasters just happen to live, this preset is a good sounding version of Amsterdam. Loud but controlled, much more prominent midrange than for example Plutonium, and no pumping. Check it out — Twente brings another unique sound to Breakaway which wasn’t previously available.
CGSmooth – the great Cornelius Gould does it again, with a great preset for AAA / Americana / Soft Rock!
Enjoy 🙂.
