stereo tool v3.40 is not bad , but i prefer bbp because the bass and treble are better with plutonium preset , the sound is more clean , and bbp have a agc (automatic gain control) than stereo tool haven’t , where as stereo tool amplifi the sound and limiter limit. But yes stereo tool is cheaper but breakaway is better 😉
Loud sound is not all , the power without control (distortion ) is bad
you don’t use the " dsp_vst " plugins for called spartacus? 😯
Because spartacus is a vst plugin , and breakaway doesn’t run vst plugin without a "adapator"(dsp_vst.dll).

Hello , What is your configuration? windows ? breakaway live or bbp ? where have you put your "dsp_vst.dll" and spartacus?
i think than breakaway live is better for you , because the delay is very low , i have 4ms of latency with asio mode enable !(and extra low latency activated in breakaway live setting). 😀
it’s better for monitoring !
But breakaway broadcast have a "long(100ms i guess)" delay .But breakaway broadcast use a special clipper who make a more loud sound than breakaway live.

The 0.90.67 run very good on my system (pentium dual core 1.8ghz under win xp sp3) , with asio driver 😀
