when he stated there would be updates, he probably wasn't as busy with projects that take up a lot more time yet which will earn him more money. the reality is he is busy. clearly, breakaway isn't going to be abandon ware yet, otherwise we would have been made aware by now in some form. work with omnia has to take precedent over everything else. while its not what people want to hear, its reality. the software is still good software

i don't think you will get anything decent for 100 or less, you will be looking for something over 100. maybe this? http://www.pcs-electronics.com/3000-transmitter-card-p-1664.html . might be an option?
i'm not sure a mono input is the best idea? maybe have a look at something from pcs electronics or broadcast warehouse
