Use EdCast DSP. Search on here, there’s some good conversation.

I’ll give it a go… As far as my understanding… Bass is just a volume slider for how much bass you want or don’t want. The bass Shape is to curve the boost or decrease of bass higher or lower on the spectrum. If you want louder mid-bass, you would raise the bass shape if you want to get louder lower bass, you lower the slider. There’s tons more to it than that, but I think this is about right.

My interest is peaked (piqued?)! I’m always looking for the best sounding audio. Jesse, Leif and a number of you all have really guided and taught me a lot about quality. Face it, it’s why we’re all here drooling over what Jesse says will be "jaw-dropping"!

If you could really come up with some compelling evidence as to which player is "best" I’m game to changing. The only caveat would be whether the victorious app would be compatible with winamp plugins….

    Thanks!

Thanks, Jesse. I don’t know what I was thinking. I swear I looked around and couldn’t see any actual DLL files. I see them now in the plugins folder.

Guess I was high or something!

    Thanks!
Where are people getting their codecs from?

I think a sticky for ‘get your codecs here’ would be a great idea also
Except for the latest versions of Winamp, you could pull the enc_accplus.dll from the winamp folder. The Lame encoder is posted up on a sticky by Leif and Jesse called something like Best for Streaming MP3 something-something.

By the bye… now that winamp has somehow embedded the aac+ encoder, where’s a good place to find newer ones as they are made available?
Same question as JesseG : HE or PS ?

An other question. Have you tested the modified version of edcast ?

This version would improve PS… I haven’t tested it yet.
Edcast doesn’t seems to be developped by his autor…
What is "custom" about this version of EdCast??

For music, AAC+ is pretty much the way to go for lower bitrate. Down to 24kbps is still really good sounding.

Compatibility is hardly an issue anymore as for the past year or so, iTunes has supported AAC+ streams. So you have Winamp, iTunes and a number of flash-based players that can all play aac+ streams.

    Good luck!

Saw this deal today from BSW USA

    quote :

$149.99 for a dbx 286A voice processor? Yes it’s true – only at BSW.

Save almost 30% on the most popular voice processor in radio! We made a special purchase of factory-resealed units. They come with full factory warranties, and perform in every way like their “a-stock” brethren, which sell for $209.95). This price is limited to the supplies we have on hand, so don’t be slow or you’ll miss out on this great deal.

    Hey Joe.

I am running breakaway AE from my win7 x64 box since about a week ago and have had no issues. Mind you, I’ve reduced win7 down to looking like XP/2000 and have all the extras turned off.

I’m running it on a p4 HT 3.0ghz with 4gb ram. and running through an audigy 2zx PCI card.

Never had that problem you mention.

I imagine this post isn’t directly beneficial, but an instance where it does work.

    Thanks.

One reason I settled on using the Reference Classical preset. No apparent boost in the high end.
I think all you’re talking about is good. You can always have one live instance running and registered. It’s not machine specific. You can have a backup that’s not activated (demo mode). But the system will not let you activate any more than one instance or installation at a time.

    Jesse, confirm?

    Thanks.
