It is actually bound to the mute button on a multimedia keyboard. The volume too.

You need to adjust the buffer size & number of buffers in the settings. Go into the settings, and switch from "Wizard" to "Expert" and through trial & error, you can try to see how far you can reduce those before the audio starts to break up.

Do the input first, making sure the test doesn’t crackle. Then do the output as low as it’ll go before it crackles at all. At that point you should be pretty close to as low as it’ll go without every crackling or stuttering. You might have to increase the input and/or output slightly from there if you system comes under heavy load and crackles, otherwise enjoy.

I *still* have (not hooked up) my 3Dfx VooDoo3 3500 TV. Back in the day, I was running custom drivers on it too that had some sweet added features that nobody else had yet… like per pixel occlusion and line anti-aliasing. When playing counter-strike I could see "dudes" soooo far away, in perfect detail, at 100 FPS solid even with smoke nades.

Of course, then about 3 or 4 years later, the GeForce 2 came out, and royally pwnt everything else on the market. 8)

Well as far as severity goes… there’s no proof I actually circumvented anything since I’m not distributing it.

On the other hand, Leif is distributing his which in and of itself is against the license agreement, and there’s definitely proof. I’ve already notified him of this, but I think he’s sleeping or something.

As far as hearing the difference… Here we go 🙂

    VuvuOriginal.wav
    VuvuWaves.wav
    VuvuProsoniq.wav

You’ll notice that in Waves’ pisstake… that the horns are more quiet, but not only is the crowd way more quiet, but the announcer’s voice gets ruined in the process. The announcer’s voice isn’t so important (if you’re ESPN) since those wouldn’t get added until after the reduction of the audio coming from the crowd mics, but listen to the crowd getting reduced in volume. If you turn up Waves’ version until the crowd is the same volume, the horns are almost as loud!!! So in reality, it’s not removing anything that would be useful even from a TV production standpoint. From the standpoint of home listening, it’s even worse cos it’s ruining the sound of the announcer.

Prosoniq on the other hand keeps the crowd at the same loudness, doesn’t ruin the announcer’s voice, and that Vuvuzela crap is almost completely gone.

Another thing I should note is that this is an easier example to process. The examples on the Prosoniq site are actually a lot more intense, the levels of Vuvu. 😛

Lol nice. I made one 3 days ago that automatically continues despite the 30 minute "limit" but am not distributing it since even distributing it in any way is also against the license agreement. Word up on that Leif. 🙁

p.s. what factor did you use for the "vuvuzelaSuppressionIntensity"? 1.0f? 😆

I closed the "off topic" report, but do report this user if you see any actual spam etc.

    P.S. Madonna is highly over-rated. 😆

I don’t remember where I read it, far down the rabbit hole somewhere… but yeah… two 2020s with about 40 mods on em, designed to work in serial, and he called that setup "The Intimidator", and it’s the only one he ever did… that he’s mentioned. From what I understand, there’s a number of those mods of his own design that are currently part of the MkIII. 8)

Unfortunately you probably still won’t find this information on Google. Even though I’ve mentioned it a few times even on Radio-Info too. Maybe there’s a media blackout on it? lol

Change from "Wizard" mode to "Expert" mode, for starters…

Then you have a much better control over the latency. I recommend Kernel Streaming, if your card supports that, cos you should be able to get a much lower latency out of that before it starts breaking up. But whatever allows you to get the lowest latency, use that. Of course.

And then just do a lot of trial and error with the buffer size & count… first on the input, with a larger output, so that you can get the input as low as it’ll go without skipping. Then work on optimizing the output. You may have to add 1-2 more buffers to the input on the extreme of the output buffer sizes, but if the overall size gets lower then it’s worth it.

As far as muting the line input, that’s in the Soundblaster’s mixer, where you can also disable all of the "sound effects" they have. You’ll want to mute the line-in on the playback side, and set the record side to be line in.

Yes. You can use the best mp3 codec there is… Lame 3.93.1

It also does Vorbis and FLAC in an Ogg container. LC-AAC using FAAC. Also AAC in LC, HE, and PS profiles using Coding Technologies codec that is distributed with Winamp which is easily the best.

It will stream to Shoutcast or Icecast, or a compatible server like Steamcast. 🙂
oh never new that 🙂 but as i said i stay using simple cast because im running 3 streams on it 😉
Have you ever used EdCast? You can make as many streams as you want on it.

    http://www.oddsock.org/tools/edcast/

you just click "add encoder" then double click the encoder in the list to change settings of that encoder. easy. 8)

You can load Winamp plugins into Breakaway, like EdCast 🙂

When you check that, there becomes another button in the main settings window that will allow you to put Winamp plugins into Breakaway that are after the processing.

Also… your sound is mono. Even tho it’s stereo codec, the sound itself is mono.
