Other than the copy protection, the big thing preventing this would be Pipeline not properly working with Crossover. It might work though. Someone with OSX could try it and let us know.
How one would get audio from OSX *into* the Pipeline is a whole other matter that I’m not sure could be solved with Crossover or not.
As far as compatibility layers, and if things work or not in them, some of them are quite complete, like WINE. 😉
JesseGMemberThe site was hacked but it’s back up. This forum runs at another location. Carry on.

It won’t be me. I have a pair of B2031A hanging around too. 😉JesseGMemberthere’s only been one version of all of the installers, demo & purchased are the same, because the secure authentication happens in the software. (after you get a key obviously)
cheers
JesseGMemberthe current clipper totally owns the limiter, when setup for standard left/right audio, vs fm. there’s lower cpu use versions of it for using less cpu to make it more realistic to use in more places 🙂 like streaming or more channels, etc.
nothing touches it for peak control that i’ve heard, still. 🙂
JesseGMemberIf you can afford the declipper, I don’t see any reason to wait until Undo comes out in the new Breakaways. As far as I know the new Breakaway stuff hasn’t begun to be created from the new framework yet, or I expect I would be getting stuff to test from Leif.
JesseGMemberFuture feature in the 9, but you can also trigger pretty much any change you can imagine through GPIO.
That said… dayparting is an add-on you may see with the new Breakaway stuff. 🙂 There’s a lot of opportunities to create a more complete system to broadcast with, after it leaves the automation/mixer that Leif wants to tie together. Day-parting is definitely a bigger deal to have an add-on for than most ideas for new features. I can’t say what Leif is thinking as he is constantly re-formulating ideas, but we had talked about that being one of the major add-ons.
JesseGMemberIf Breakaway is what’s reporting the clipping, then yes you need to adjust the output from VirtualDJ into Breakaway so it doesn’t clip. It shouldn’t be effected AT ALL by what preset you use, unless it’s showing clipping within VirtualDJ *after* Breakaway.
JesseGMemberBSODs are only caused by drivers, so something updated related to that showplay software that your computer/os doesn’t like. could be something with kernel streaming too, if it’s really damaging the operation of BAE.
JesseGMemberthe next version of breakaway will have a metal preset 🙂 already done, sounds awesome, doesn’t ruin dynamics. 🙂
JesseGMemberAndroid is an interesting market, and it’s too early to know what the emerging standard will be for running resident applications. Such as ARMv7 architecture. That bears heavily on any decision to port something as extensive as it is now, even with just the components needed for a Breakaway core.
It’s not for any ignorance, or "crap", that there isn’t products in that market yet. We’re as wide eyed as the rest watching Shenzhen & friends. 😉
JesseGMember
I haven’t read about Leif’s AutoPilot. It sounds interesting. I’d certainly like to learn more. Do you have any links?
Are you somehow not seeing this option?
Turned up to 50% that allows for 150% positive peaks. 🙂 Just make sure you’re allowing enough headroom (L/R Ref Level) on the output (at least 3dB + any extra for tilt, PEQ, etc) so the peaks will have somewhere to go.
Let us know how it goes 🙂 Cheers.

Looks neat, but their spectrum analyzer is only 2.4gHz, and their RF power measurement frequency response at 100mHz. With lord knows what distortion % that "low" of a frequency for that device… makes it nearly useless for FM.
The iMSO-104 on the other hand… looks pretty good, barely on paper. Would be nice to see some actual specs on it. But… there’s actually some really cool stuff already out there, much smaller and much more powerful than an iPad, not to mention you’re not frying $800 of gear if you fail at Operation. 😉

http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/dso-qu … ?cPath=174This also looks VERY interesting, if you’re working with RF 🙂 http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/preord … ?cPath=174
Cheers 🙂

Have you checked the new 64 bit drivers for it, to see if that’s still the case? -
