October 12, 2008 at 9:23 pm #4272AnonymousGuestI’m an old Volume Logic user, and I’ve just discovered your new projects – great news.
Are Mac iTunes users likely to have any good news this year Lief? 🙂
October 13, 2008 at 4:03 am #4273LeifKeymasterI hope so, Haydn!
Our mac developer had some very serious health problems, but he is thankfully recovering from them. I don’t have an ETA, but I’m hopeful and waiting 🙂.

October 13, 2008 at 10:02 am #4275AnonymousGuestTo get more specific – is there any chance of a Mac equivalent for Breakaway for Windows System? Or is it only ever going to be an iTunes plugin?
October 13, 2008 at 12:14 pm #4276LeifKeymasterThere’s definitely a chance, Straycat. We don’t have any plans for it yet — but if Breakaway for iTunes takes off the way volume logic did, it’s very possible we’ll come to our senses and start making more products for the Mac.
The hard part there is that unlike on the PC, where we have me, who can do all the windows development himself and has the time to do it (audio processing IS my day job – it’s all I do), on the Mac we actually have to hire someone and pay them for their time.
It will depend on how the iTunes plug-in does, I guess. If it does as well av Volume Logic did, there’s definitely a good chance of a more advanced follow-up!

October 13, 2008 at 7:11 pm #4277AnonymousGuestI wish your Mac developer a speedy and good recovery, Leif.
I’m sure the iTunes Breakaway is going to be a roaring success. When it comes out, I’ll certainly spread the word amongst the interested people.
October 31, 2008 at 1:53 am #4278TexaszeusMemberCount me in on awaiting a Mac version!. The latest release of VL still runs on the Macbook Pro, but if it ever fails the MBP will never be the same. 😯
March 26, 2009 at 2:45 am #4279TexaszeusMemberMy Mac and I are still waiting by the sidelines. Hoping we Breakaway from Volume Logic before OSX Snow does us in.

June 13, 2009 at 11:34 pm #4283AnonymousGuestany update on this??
btw..you know what would be the ultimate product? a hardware version of Breakaway Live!
a little device that would have inputs and outputs. a dj could run the outputs of a mixer into this and then the outputs from this into a house sound system in a club or into a computer to record a show (me), etc..,etc..
June 14, 2009 at 10:57 pm #4284AnonymousGuestquote :btw..you know what would be the ultimate product? a hardware version of Breakaway Live!I’ve actually looked into this. It is unbelievably expensive to get the port and GUI made to do this properly and ultimately it comes down to Leif and company granting licensing which seems to be sticking point so far. What’s a fair price do you think for something like this?
