Does your exciter have any peak control / limiting / clipping in it? If so, that needs to be disabled.
JesseGMemberMake sure that you're using the official installer. You should try uninstalling and reinstalling Breakaway using it.
JesseGMemberI updated my post with a new link, and I found a version that's 1 day newer than the v2.1
JesseGMemberAnalog or digital on XLR? Input audio and/or MPX? How many channels? Does it need outputs?
192kHz soundcards (worth using) aren't any more expensive than 96kHz or below anymore, since 192kHz converters have not only been around for quite a while now, but also are starting to surpass 96kHz converter audio quality.
JesseGMemberYes, Breakaway Live is the one to use. Much lower CPU use (since it's not outputting a signal for FM/AM purposes), and much lower latency so if your encoding system has very low latency, you'll only need to use a few milliseconds of video delay (if you even notice a difference).
JesseGMemberWhat does it sound like on FM? (I'm guessing you're re-applying pre-emphasis in your exciter?)
December 11, 2015 at 7:37 am in reply to: BSODs caused by Breakaway Audio Enhancer driver on Windows 10 #5631JesseGMemberthe BSOD is from the older Virtual Audio Cable driver (which Breakaway Pipeline is a licensed version of).
a fully updated VAC
and fully updated WinLicense driverhave been prepared for the next update of Breakaway.JesseGMemberAre you with ProppFrexx? 8)
You should private message me.
December 11, 2015 at 7:28 am in reply to: BBP : Still having some crackles when network or display activity #14170JesseGMemberYou should be able to find out what is causing latency problems on your system with this:
http://www.resplendence.com/latencymonJesseGMemberIf you're using pre-emphasis, make sure you're using de-emphasis also, if you're streaming from the soundcard outputs. The encoder plugin path automatically applies de-emphasis if pre-emphasis is used.
JesseGMemberI haven't heard of that before. Does it close completely or just bypass/mute? Is your playout software on the same computer or an external digital/analog input? If it's on the same computer, what software is it?
JesseGMemberHave you tried putting an encoder into BBP's encoder plugin section?
JesseGMember
At least now, when I hover the cursor over the volume control, the button appears to be active. However, I can't adjust it.
When I first installed BA, it started off at -12, and the volume button appeared inactive. A couple of days later, the volume was at -17, and I don't know how it got there. Now a couple of more days later, the -77 appears and I was just able to switch it to mute and back, although the volume button does not seem to respond every time to input.
Further, the minimize and close program buttons are not working.
That is the weirdest Breakaway problem I've ever heard of. Are you using a touchscreen/s? How many screens do you have? Have you changed the screen DPI or zoom?
Breakaway should deal with all of that, and was made for that too, just trying to figure things out, and that's the first stuff I would look into. Hmmm………… call me stumped.
JesseGMemberYou need to adjust the volume in Breakaway now. The Breakaway Pipeline soundcard has the volume controls disabled on purpose to prevent people from turning down the input into Breakaway (which would negatively effect its performance).
Breakaway also monitors the Windows multimedia keys on a keyboard to control the volume too.
JesseGMemberIs there more than 1 output with the same exact name?
