MemberIt does in most cases. Have you tried the free demo yet?

MemberHi JesseGi
Thanks for your response.
I am trying the free demo now, on a laptop with Windows 8.1, and it seems to work. I am not able to adjust the volume or any other parameters, however; and I don't know if that is because I don't know how to do it, or it's not working.
Also, I have a free upgrade to Windows 10 pending. I have just not upgraded yet as I have yet to determine if it is advisable to do so.

Windows 8.1I have not been able to change the volume. Neither the cursor, nor any keyboard shortcuts seem to work an any screen or panel.

MemberI still haven't been able to change the volume, except I've somehow been able to get it to -77 dB, and to switch between that and mute. I don't know how it got to -77. F
At least now, when I hover the cursor over the volume control, the button appears to be active. However, I can't adjust it.
When I first installed BA, it started off at -12, and the volume button appeared inactive. A couple of days later, the volume was at -17, and I don't know how it got there. Now a couple of more days later, the -77 appears and I was just able to switch it to mute and back, although the volume button does not seem to respond every time to input.
Further, the minimize and close program buttons are not working.
Currently, I have no volume. I am going to have to somehow disable BA or remove it, unless I can solve this quickly.

MemberYou need to adjust the volume in Breakaway now. The Breakaway Pipeline soundcard has the volume controls disabled on purpose to prevent people from turning down the input into Breakaway (which would negatively effect its performance).
Breakaway also monitors the Windows multimedia keys on a keyboard to control the volume too.

That is the weirdest Breakaway problem I've ever heard of. Are you using a touchscreen/s? How many screens do you have? Have you changed the screen DPI or zoom?
Breakaway should deal with all of that, and was made for that too, just trying to figure things out, and that's the first stuff I would look into. Hmmm………… call me stumped.

MemberThis was happening to me…it happened when I was using the scroll wheel with the mouse inadvertently pointing at the breakaway I believe.
