LuKParticipant
Thanks for your suggestions, Jesse.
I love the Sennheiser "neutral" approach and now I’m using the HD-380 model (HD-800 is to much expensive):
What do you think about it?Bye. 🙂
LuKParticipantThx Jesse,
I thought that Lief had resolved the bug in new versions. 🙁
Bye.
LuKParticipant
It’s pretty basic and you’re not providing enough information to us about your problem for us to try to help you. (such as: what does "sound good" mean in technical terms?)
So my advice then is to offer to pay someone with experience close enough to you to come over and set it up for you.
Thx Jesse, my problem isn’t an experience defeat but only english (language) limits. 😉
I’ve setted (I think in a correct mode) the input audio from an external mixer and configured BBLive in ASIO mode to process this signal and all working fine. The problem compare when I try to use the two instances of BBP (one for FM and one for streaming) using LiveLink metod: setting the same "BreakawayLive 1" for both instances of BBP but don’t work. Only one instances have a input signal and the other result a mute input. Probably there is an other metod but I don’t know it and the documentation about this aspect isn’t explicit. Some tips? Thanks a lot, bye. 🙂
LuKParticipantNoone can help me to correct configure BBP+Blive in this way? 🙁
LuKParticipant
You should be able to run two BBP instances the same way, both using Livelink 1.
If that doesn’t work, that’s a bug — I’ll have to fix it for the next version. 🙂

Leif, I’m Sorry to resume this, very old, thread, but… I’ve tryed today with the ultimate BBP (2 instances) + BLive versions and the problem continue. Only one instance of BBP sound good if selecting "Live Link 1" in I/O Configuration. The other is mute. Same bug?Thx, bye. 🙂
LuKParticipantNo one can help me? 🙁
LuKParticipant
In fact, if I ran an FM station, and cared at all about loudness and cleanliness, I’d use the 45 Hz high pass filter.///Leif
Leif, is this valid for Web Streaming, also?Bye. 🙂
LuKParticipant
Tried it. Even compared to the 8500 stream, the new one is wimpy and weak sounding, and also neither loud nor clean.
I can’t find anything worth emulating on that stream.
LuK, you never actually responded, what did you think about the clips I posted? What are your comments?
///Leif
I’m sorry Leif, but my english is very bad. I’ll try to explain my impressions:I’ve tried all your suggestions (with little modified), ecxept the Spartacusus plugin (because I don’t like it and in Adriano’s 8500 streaming, stereo enancher was disabled). This is my actual settings:
Effect plug-ins:
Bass-EFX (Level 2)
Impact/Clunk (Clunk 1 – Slam 2)Signal settings:
Pre-emphasis 25us
De-emphasis OFF! (I’m using an external aac+ encoder)And:
L/R PEQ Gain: -2.0 dB
L/R PEQ Freq: 17.6 KHz
L/R PEQ Width: 2.02 octPreset:
Amsterdam
Final Drive -3.0
Range: 57
Power: 56
Speed: 55
Bass Boost: +24
Bass Shape: 3This is a resulting stream: "http://kos.broadstreamer.com/cgi-bin/listen.pls?7280".
What do you think about it? In my opinion, it’s a very good sound, but I also love the "V" curve of Helix Preset, and the great bass impact present in that preset is more similar to Orban 8500 philosophy. For me the "perfect sound", would have to be a compromise between the loudness and cleansing of amsterdam preset being involved appeal of the helix preset.
About the clips, I think that BBP versions are more brilliant and less distorted than Radio Planet ones (mid and high frequencies are incredible), but 8500, IMHO, win in bass impact and bass presence/punch.
Thx for your patience and for all your great work. Bye. 🙂

Hi Leif, now link work fine. Copy and paste this URL: "http://217.133.30.28:8100" in Window Media Player.
Bye, thanks. 🙂
LuKParticipantHi Leif,
now my fried "Upgrade" from Planet FM has modified its audio processor settings (a seven band stand-alone product). This is the URL: "http://217.133.30.28:8100". Some ideas to emulate this, more punch sound, with BBP?
Thx, bye. 🙂
LuKParticipantThanks a lot, Leif. I’ll test your solution immediately. 🙂
LuKParticipantThanks, Jesse. 🙂
LuKParticipantHehehe… Jesse, these are my actual settings, for Zenith preset:
Final Drive: +1 dB
Range: 76
Power: 70
Speed: 64
Bass Boost: +18
Bass Shape: -12Impact/Clunk: Clunk 1 – Slam 2
Bass-EFX: 3And this is the result streaming: "http://kos.broadstreamer.com/cgi-bin/listen.pls?7280"
What do you think about it?
Bye, thanks! 🙂
LuKParticipantSome tips to obtain more loud and bass impact from this (great) setting, for an FM pourpose? 🙂
LuKParticipant
Nope, that’s not the bug. 🙂
To feed audio from Breakaway Live to Breakaway Broadcast, you should not use the DSP plug-in! BBP has the functionality built in, if you select Live as the source.
///Leif
I know, Leif, but I’ve tried in this way, because with te simply Live selection in BBP source, work only one of my two instances. 😥 -
