I believe you want to set your:

    -Main Configuration
    HD > Input> SAME
FM > MPX Output > EITHER > Disabled

    -Common Audio Devcices
    Main: SAME
    Outputs: SAME
    Inputs: Off

Or if you wanted to set your input to ASIO as well, you would want something like this:

    -Main Configuration
    HD > Input> EITHER> Disabled
FM > MPX Output > EITHER > Disabled

    -Common Audio Devices
    *ASIO
    Main: SAME
    Outputs: SAME
Inputs: FM: Behringer UMC202HD – IN 1/2 (or whatever the device shows up as in the list)

Hi. It sounds like you have both an ASIO and a Kernel Streaming/Wave output configured. You only need to set one output mode. I hope this helps!

Here are the twelve that appear to be made for Breakaway One from that zip (5-bands, not Undo, not Omnia). I haven’t tested them at all, so I can’t say if they sound good or correct.

And it’s not in your own spam folder or anything? I guess post a new topic and maybe Milky might be able to help you get in touch with John, who would be sending you the license. I really don’t know, sorry.

You should email support@claessonedwards.com and ask there. I think sometimes emails fall through the cracks or get swallowed by spam filters.

I have the zip, but the original was taken out because of copyright infringement. I don’t know what I can upload or where. There are a number of 6 and 7-band presets in the zip, which don’t work/aren’t made for BA1. I don’t have an easy way to sort those out, otherwise, I would see if I could post the ones BA1 would likely run.

I was messing with this the other day, and I feel like I’m on the right track. I’m trying to figure out as much as I can before asking for help from the FAAC folks. I was able to get the stream enabled, and I can connect to it from my phone, but no audio data is being encoded (it shows 0kbps in the encoding bitrate). I have a hunch it’s the MIME Type data. Any thoughts on what I should use for this?

This is my current custom encoder command line

    “C:\Program Files\BreakawayOne\faac.exe” -R 48000 -B 32 -C 2 -c %samplerate% -q 5000 -b %bitrate% –

That’s the -R is the input sample rate, -B is the input bit-depth, -C is the number of input channels, -q is the quality. The final hyphen tells it to use stdin/stdout. It also creates a tiny empty audio file in the FAAC directory.

I was able to force a download of the first zip and indeed the two links do contain the same AAC encoder. Since it was so tricky to find, and alternatives like FAAC are out there, I would still like to figure out the custom command-line equivalent just to document it somewhere. Perhaps I need to contact the FAAC community for insight. I’m really not clear on what switches I need to use to get it to stream encode.

Ah, that last link Milky posted for the encoders is apparently the same executable I downloaded in 2020, according to checksum. That helps explain where it came from. Thanks!

Secondly, your initial link to the Zip from the Australian domain is not being downloaded in Chrome. It’s being blocked cause it thinks it’s harmful. I was going to compare the two files, but that’s not possible. I recommend changing that link to the new one on Dropbox if possible.

Okay, after a few hours of tinkering and downloading aac codecs, I have some progress, but not like you might prefer. I found the installed codec, uninstalled it, and located the download on my old HDD in case I needed to restore it (spoiler, I did). I looked for that exact same codec pack download and I can’t seem to find it at all.

First, I found that the codec needs to be placed in the Breakaway One app directory and named enc_aacPlus.exe to show up in the list. I have found only one that works, with included enc_aacPlus.dll, which I read is based on the Winamp aac encoder. However, I’m not certain if it’s cool to upload and post a link, as I don’t know what the redistribution legalities are.

So I think your bet is to use the Custom entry and try one of the alternative AAC encoders. Be sure to place the files in the Breakaway One app directory or use “quotes and spaces” around the path if you’re going to call it from elsewhere. I haven’t found the right string to make the custom codecs work yet, however.

    @Milky
let me know if I should throw it up on mediafire or something.

Oh, I see. I must have downloaded an AAC codec package at some point..? I just realized how long I’ve had this PC. It was on the list instead of being Custom, so I didn’t think it was externally acquired.

Is the built-in AAC encoder good enough or do you need to use a custom encoder? If the latter, I think my ability to help is null. However if you’re fine with using the built-in ones, here are the steps.

    1) Enable the Streaming core in the settings
    2) Navigate to Core> Streaming> Encoder 1
    3) here you can choose AAC from the codec list and configure the rest of the stream settings

That’s absolutely fair. However, since this forum doesn’t have a direct messaging function (that I can find) what is the best way to submit sensitive information? This forum is missing integral features.

Do you at least have the capability to delete/hide posts upon request?

To clarify, those are DSP (Winamp) plugins, not 32bit VST2 plugins. The latter are capable of running within Breakaway One on the input chain before it becomes processed. This is really just handy for preconditioning your audio before Breakaway One (say, add a declipper or dynamics processor or whatever). Breakaway One does not run as a plugin within anything else.
