I’ll make an vorbis based replacement.
…. please do finish the new BBP first
Hypothetically. 🙂
Of course. 😉

Could you please elaborate a bit about the licence problems?
    Is it just too expensive?
even if it means releasing it through a company that can handle the licensing
Ah… the new omnia A/X 😉

What about the much storied and legendary LeifCast??
Probably not, unless you can think of a magical way to get licenses for all the codecs.
What about ‘Breakaway Web’, a specific version for streaming WITH Leifcast?
    Price would be accordingly…

    Would that be possible?

in reply to: When we get the new software Breakaway….(Wish List).. #12132

For BBP it would be great if there was an option to bypass the clippers for the streaming encoders… (a sort of ‘Live’ output for edcast)

in reply to: Please recommend me FM exceiter #12226
Check the graphs. Your exciter is inferior to the BW 1 watt.I would never use your exciter in it’s current form. Not trying to be rude, but your product needs some improvement..I agree with Leif, i didn’t know whether to laugh or cry..
I think you missed the point being made 😉
It was about, eh… let’s call it ‘boardprotocol’ in this case.

in reply to: New BBP Software #12319
Yup. I just started
That’s it, its here!
    I a m s o e x c i t e d, just couldn’t read any further.
    What did he say?

in reply to: @Jesse and/or Leif: What to (un)do? #12054

Thank you for your clear answers! 8)

    in reply to: Undo #12033

Jesse (and Leif), one question… Will Undo also be available as software only? I ask this because not only because it sounds great, but I just started building a new database with .WAV files. If Undo will be available as software (part of BBP or separate) I won’t have to bother using SeeDeClip or Ozone RX declipper on the files and it will save me a sh*tload of time 🙂
Are we closer to a release date.Hurry,i’m having trouble sleeping:-) Thanks
Leif mentioned "this summer" when I talked with him last sunday. I need a BL licence besides my BBP, but I’m not sure whether to order now or wait for the new version… Does anybody know if an upgrade will be free?

in reply to: Leif Claesson’s New Box presentation #12012

We can only hope and pray that there will also be a softwareversion of UNDO…
I’ve used SeeDeClip on a few tracks which benefitted greatly from this, but SeeDeClip doesn’t process live audio, of course.
Leif uses the SeeDeClip algorithm/source/code, but has made it possible to use it in a live environment. It will cause a 2sec delay though…
What’s Omnia 9 ? 😯
The new Breakawaybox = Omnia.9 It will cost about $10.000 and offers built-in encoders for streaming (Leifcast!) and a de-clipping section which is called "undo" Release will be this summer. So far for an affordable hardware version…

in reply to: Compressed yet detailed sound #11982
Honestly… the Omnia 3 NET is a great box for net radio. I would rather have an Omnia ONE, but the 3 NET can do some great stuff if you start with the right preset.
Yes it is, and yes it can. When used right it’s can create a very transparent sound that maintains a lot of the signature of the source. It’s a shame though that many O3FMturbo’s are put on the net as is… When pushed a bit (to) hard (and everybody wants to be the loudest on the web…) the clippers in the O3 are quite destructive. That is what i’m referring to with the stream mentioned above.
If i had to pick analog I would say Aphex driven very hard.
2020? That would explain the uncontrolled ducking of the HF part… Always hated the HF limiter in it…. 👿
    I think I’ll stick to O3
