dancemusicradioParticipant
no that link don’t work for me either, not to worry, do they use the same processing for net as radio? same settings maybe?
dancemusicradioParticipantthat link for z 100 doesn’t work, obviously can’t listen outside the US?
dancemusicradioParticipantheres my settings, in breakaway set pipeline 1 as input and pipeline 2 as output, set drivers on both pipelines as ks. in sam go to the AGC and check off all AGC/processing on all decks including voice and sound fx. go to use soundcard AGC and check it on, set pipeline 1 as the input and to as the output. these remove the need for edcast and livelink. if you want to use edcast check it on in the encoder plugins in breakaway, if you want to use a mike only then set up that in voice fx, set the soundcard driver as whatever your soundcard is, if you have a mixing desk and you wish to use it just go to the queue and use the record from mike feature or press (control and m) set your source to line-in. click okay and you should have a track called live recording, click on it and make sure it goes to the top of the queue (working this way sounds more complicated then it is)
August 4, 2012 at 7:39 pm in reply to: FEATURES suggestions for new or updated Breakaway Products #12975dancemusicradioParticipantBBP. a more advanced mode with more sliders for more control of each part of the processer. would give more options to tweak the sound instead of just being only able to change the bass the final drive the power range and speed sliders. a new clunk slider, this would be the same as the impact clunk plugin) but would be part of the processer and would offer more of a slam then the impact clunk. or maybe just a newer version of impact clunk? a new version of bass fx plugin which would have controls to allow you decide how much you want, yes i know the normal bass sliders are there but the bass fx rounds it differently.
dancemusicradioParticipantdon’t know about rds but you could try the sterio enhancers on breakaway. i recomend challenger sterio enhancer. think theirs a program which works with breakaway that provides rds.
dancemusicradioParticipantthe use soundcard AGC is the best option, send the input to pipeline 1 and output to pipeline 2. then shutdown sam (go to its program folder and shut it down using the sam shutdown command so to save your changes)
dancemusicradioParticipanthigh, i use broadcast with sam but my setup should work for you using live, what i do is to click on the use soundcard agc in sam broadcaster, have breakaway pipeline 1 as the input and breakaway pipeline 2 as the output. this cuts out the need for livelink. you say your using edcast, have you sam and breakaway+edcast on separate pc’s? sam has its own encoders but your aware of that.
December 15, 2011 at 12:42 am in reply to: Suggestions for classic hits/new music hybrid station #12886dancemusicradioParticipantdepends on the preset, some are louder and more compressed then others
December 13, 2011 at 10:00 pm in reply to: Suggestions for classic hits/new music hybrid station #12884dancemusicradioParticipantrange is how much to compress the audio, speed is how fast the compression of the audio works, power spreads out the dynamics of the audio. final drive makes the audio loud or not so loud, the guys here will explain it in more detail. for your station you could try motor city all though plutonium is good to. play around with the presets turning up and down the power speed range and final drive until you get something you like.
dancemusicradioParticipanthigh hodgegw, make sure that all sam’s agcs are checked off, then click on the use soundcard agc in the mixer section, use breakaway pipeline 1 as the input and breakaway pipeline 2 as the output, make sure the same is set in breakaway itself. don’t forget to slect ks instead of ds in breakaway
dancemusicradioParticipanttry using challenger sterio plugin, tweak the settings until you get something similar for the sterio. personally i wouldn’t have as much sterio but its down to personal preference. try all the presets with different settings until you get a similar sound, one of them is bound to sound like these recordings
dancemusicradioParticipantyou could try the live link dsp. click it on in the dsp section, think you have to check on livelink 1 and 2, change your output in breakaway to disabled, uninstal the shoutcast dsp from ots and install it and check it on in the encoders section in breakaway, infact i would also use edcast instead of the shoutcast dsp, use the recomended encoder settings thread (not sure of its exact name) to help you set it up.
August 2, 2011 at 11:11 pm in reply to: running automation/streaming and breakaway on 2 separate pcs #12451dancemusicradioParticipantstill jumping, looks like i might have to do a re-install of both softwares
August 2, 2011 at 10:29 pm in reply to: running automation/streaming and breakaway on 2 separate pcs #12450dancemusicradioParticipantmy breakaway keeps skipping and jumping all over the place so it must be the pipe lines. so i am going to try live link dsp.
August 2, 2011 at 1:09 pm in reply to: running automation/streaming and breakaway on 2 separate pcs #12447dancemusicradioParticipant[quote author=”yorkie98″]Optical I/O (Input/Output) is simply using an optical cable to link the soundcards on the 2 PCs instead of just using an analog jack lead, So it is exactly what you are thinking of. This is of course all irrelevant as you seem to have got it all working on the one machine again.

thanks, its handy information. leif suggested it might be the pipe-lines so i should probably wait until the new release before deciding whether to use seperate pcs. so would be still interested in any info or tips on doing this. thanks
