I’ll start the thread because I am a huge fan of this software and I for one am willing to pay for more features and I would be open to a Breakaway "kit" complete with a sound card. I’m not talking $2,000 sound card but an all in one package in the $500 to $1,000 range.
I’d also love to see:
– a parametric EQ that not only adjust speakers but that makes processing adjustments before the multiband and a multiband "drive" feature so that it would aid in setting density.
– 5 to 7 band fixed parametric EQ
– user adjustable attack and release settings for all bands, especially bass because most processors that I’ve seen setup operate with a much fast attack/release on bass frequencies
– independent user adjustable gating for the AGC and multiband
– user adjustable noise control adjustments …. I know the multiband downward expansion is designed to reduce noise and it works great but I’ve seen a few very busy sounding CDs that I can hear a huge difference in sound when played with "oldies" versus any of the other presets because "oldies" has more noise reduction .. I’d like to be able to adjust noise reduction for my content.
– finally a brick wall limiter would be sweet…..

Automatic and user preference settings would nice with this oneIndependent Multiband Gating

We’d be willing to pay to unlock any options on Live that would give us full control and Leifcast.
In essence instead of having to pay for 3u colocation in a datacenter for an Omnia 9 we’d rather have the software run on our existing server and the money going to Leif instead ๐ It would be like having an Omnia 9 without having to pay for its electrical consumption and hosting/storage.
Cheers,
Audio

Option for Flat OutputFebruary 23, 2012 at 3:32 pm #12969BobOnTheJobMemberSeparate Range/Power/Speed controls for the AGC and Multiband sections of BBP. Great example would be the ability to have lots of slow AGC and a light amount of medium multiband using the Zenith preset.
Also, a utility for the high end similar to what the Bass Boost/Cut/Shape does for the low end on BBP.

for what you need 192k @bbp live ?????

Because my audio device has 2 outputs and i want to use the second output from other application at 192k.
August 3, 2012 at 9:00 pm #12973radiofreakMemberFor BBP/BBP ASIO:
– an ITU-R 412 Multiplex-Power-Limiter like the AirAura has. Here in germany (and in many other countries in europe), we are not allowed to go over the magic 0 dBr-limit, but when I calibrate BBP to +-75 kHz deviation with 400 Hz sine and pick a "loud" preset, it always goes up to +4 dBr. So I have two options to fix this: 1) lower the Final Drive and Power, but then I’m not "loud" enough as desired or 2) lower the deviation to about +-40 kHz, which impairs the S/N-Ratio.
– set the outgoing audio-level seperate from the pilot and rds-level for the case that I only want to have minor audio-deviation but full 7,5 kHz pilot-deviation and full 3,5 kHz rds-deviation, e.g. to manually lower the multiplex-power.
– a loudness-compensated bypass, so that I can compare the original full dynamic input with the processed output at the same level of "sensed-loudness", like in many mastering-systems (e.g. WaveLab).
– mixed use of ASIO and non-ASIO. It would be great to use e.g. the Trace Alpha with stable ASIO as the main soundcard for input and MPX-out and the onboard-soundchip (non-ASIO) for control-output for headphones etc.
– a seventh "Treble"-Slider, which acts exactly like the Bass-Slider, but controls the treble ๐
– a feature to copy the preset-ajustments from e.g. BBP ASIO to BA-Live, to e.g. easily get the same tweaked sound from on-air to the livestream
(- a swichable integrated phase-desolator to get the sound of a processor I’ve already mentioned by the touch of a button ( ๐ just kiddin’))For BA-Live:
– the great, great Celeste-Preset!!!
– switchable 15 ยตs and 25 ยตs Preemphasis for the outputs
– also mixed-use of ASIO and non-ASIOSome cosmetic things:
– a mouse-pointer that dissappears after a few seconds when BBP is in fullscreen
– distabled tooltips when BBP is in fullscreen and/or the settings-window is open and is over the main-windowAugust 3, 2012 at 11:06 pm #12974BokiMember
For BBP/BBP ASIO: – an ITU-R 412 Multiplex-Power-Limiter
in short, you cannot make it with current BA product, or you can, but as you said, you’ll not be "loud" enough.
BS.412 is one super complicated standard. From some people for Germany i also find out that many (almost all) processors with that standard included, are not 100% accurate in that. -
