MemberWhy not on Embedded Windows 7 Standard (Win 7 Thin PC)?

MemberMaybe, in the (far) future, you could make a Breakaway ‘Light plugin’…. 😉
You see, we ‘customers’ are never satisfied…. 😆
Good luck with the Omnia 9

If your Motherboard and (onboard) Ethernetcard suppports it, you can use WOL from a powered down situation.
You do not need the sleep mode. Actually your powersupply needs support it too.Dj Buik
Member
The latency isn’t set in stone yet, but it should be at least about as low as you can already get with Breakaway Live.
Then are you talking about 5.1 ASIO? Does that exist?
Sorry but you lost me, i don’t get it, can you elaborate some more?PS: i have a PS3 for games 🙂

MemberHow will you handle the lip sync?
With Breakaway 5.1 (6 channel) you need a lot more of CPU cycles then the normal 2 channel Breakaway.
There will be no latency between audio and video?
Dj Buik
MemberThat depends on what speed you are broadcasting.
<= 128Kbps better use the ‘old’ Lame version.
> 128Kbps could also use the latest version.
Link from Michi’s post still works.

MemberLeif,
Don’t take me wrong, i do not want to push you.
I was just curious. Take your time.In Holland we say:
Alle goede dingen komen langzaam.
(All good things come slowly)BTW: How is your Dutch progressing?
You also must be picking up some dutch ‘dialect’ in Twente. 😉Dj Buik
MemberHi Leif,
I also use Breakaway DJ. What are your thoughts about this product?
Will it also be updated?Dj Buik
Member
External codecs, no — it’s a support nightmare. Case in point: Edcast.
///Leif
Leif,
Please reconsider the possibility for only one external codec (ex. Lame).
MP3 (Lame) is most common used all over the world.Flac files are just too big. I have no experience with Ogg Vorbis files.
You could always claim you only give support for your internal codecs.

MemberThan i wil wet my pants a second time…. 😳

MemberThese are indeed ‘one hell of a soundcard’ products, but unfortunally i do not have the money for it 🙁
(my wife always take the money i have ‘laying around’ 🙄 😉 )I made my decision, i go for a micro ATX board (1155 socket) with one PCI slot and a Juli@ card.
The processor will be a i3 or G620 processor.
I try to place the soundcard vertically with a pci extension card or cable in the micro ATX case.
The case needs to be as compact as possible. Thanks guys for all the input!
Of course can you all leave additional info in this thread.Dj Buik
MemberHouston we have a problem…
I can not find any Mini ITX motherboard with a Intel 1155 socket AND with one (normal) PCI slot.
I think i need to fallback to micro ATX or i need a Mini ITX board with onboard sound that supports 192 KHz audio output for MPX.
Any suggestions?
