KeymasterThanks for the feedback. It may help someone else with similar issues.

KeymasterIf there’s an echo, it sounds like one of the inputs is being re-directed back through, slightly out of phase. Do you have ASIO as well as non-ASIO running, or something like that?
Milky
KeymasterTo be honest, I’ve never agonised over the pipeline settings. It is just used as a convenient way of trapping the soundcard output if your playout software does not have an inbuilt option that you can select. By default, it is DVD quality, so shouldn’t need any alteration.
Typically, if your playout software has an input level adjustment, I would run it 3 to 5 dB down, to give BAE AGC some headroom to work. If the input is too hot, BAE will be constantly clamping it back down and it will lose a lot of its dynamics.

KeymasterI will try to set up a simulation on my test rig and get back to you with options. If anyone else has already done this, feel free to chime in.

KeymasterI am totally at a loss over this. I have relayed on all the information that you sent to me. I’ll contact John again to see where it is at, but it is now the weekend, so I may not get a response until Monday.
Milky
KeymasterI have relayed your information on to John. I don’t know whether they monitor emails on weekends, so let’s see what happens today.
Milky
KeymasterNoted!

KeymasterNothing beats quality audio, but that takes some processing time which results in latency. If your presenters are not affected by the delay, go HQ.
Milky
KeymasterPlease forward your licence summary to milky.5343@gmail.com and I will try to forward it onto John.
Milky
KeymasterSadly, Keith is no longer with us, but his son, John has taken over the task and is usually very prompt – maybe 24 hours, but certainly not days. I have sent him a PM.

KeymasterWe did have some emails bouncing about a month ago, but I believe that that was fixed.
Milky
KeymasterYour English is fine.
There is no point of having your stream in low-latency, as there are many ddelays introduced into the stream by server hops etc. The main advantage of low-latency in the studio is that the presenters don’t get confused by the processing delay.Milky
KeymasterThank you for including the error message. It is a complete mystery to Claessonedwards as to why this is happening randomly and the report may help. Leif actually changed his email address a couple of months ago and it looks like at least one DNS is still forwarding it to his old address which was cancelled due to too much spam.
It is not the OS which changes the licence information, but the MAC address of your network card. I’ll see what I can do to get the request through.
I have raised your problem via a PM.

KeymasterWith all the appropriate disclaimers in place to do with illegal copying or acquisition of music, many soundcards these days have a “what you hear” or “loopback” option so that you can use something like Goldwave to record whatever is currently playing through your soundcard.

KeymasterIs it possible that anyone having problems with bounced emails could provide me with a copy of the bounce response? It might give me some ammunition to fire at the service provider.
