When I try to install the latest version I get a pop-up telling me there is a previously installed version on my computer and that I need to uninstall it. Then, when I try to uninstall it I get another pop-up telling me that Breakaway is not installed. That leaves me still unable to install the new version. Can someone help me please. I bought Breakaway Audio Enhancer in June of 2020 and I was only able to use it for a very short time. I have been unable to use it for months.
It detects whether or not Breakaway Pipeline is installed on your computer, and if so it places a pipeline removal tool on your desktop. I think this Pipeline Removal Tool will come in handy for your situation.
I’ve not experienced this. MrKlorox’s suggestion may work for you. There might be a service or some other background task which is active and therefore cannot be removed. Possibly, if the removal tool does not resolve this, try booting into Windows Safe Mode and then uninstalling. That might remove any active threads.
Please report back with your findings, as we need to get this cleaned up.
