This version of BAE addresses the problem of Virtual Audio Cables crashing under the latest Windows 10 update (20H2). It has been tested by a team of users, and no significant faults detected. It is NOT the version available on the CEA official website, but is here as a stop-gap until the final release comes out.
If you email me directly at milky.5343 @ gmail.com without spaces to stop trolls, I will provide you with a link.
Download ONLY version 1.41.0 and Breakaway Pipeline Installer 4.30. I would suggest that you uninstall the original version completely before installing the new version. You will probably need your original registration serial number email handy to copy and paste it in after installing.
I stress again that this is a final beta version, so any feedback that you can provide in this thread will be taken into account in the final release.

I’ve emailed you and haven’t received a link.
December 19, 2020 at 10:12 pm #16283MrKloroxParticipantHad some trouble with an existing copy of VAC 4.64 being detected during the BAE installer as an older version of Pipeline, and the Pipeline uninstaller placed on my desktop. I ended up uninstalling VAC through Add or Remove Programs, as one should. Ran the installer again and it still thought I had legacy Pipeline installed. My solution was to install 4.15c then uninstall it, then try to install BAE for a third time. After that, BAE seemed to work excellently.
So next I uninstall BAE and use the Pipeline uninstaller to clear out the Pipelines. Then I run the 4.30 Pipeline installer, which works without a hitch, requiring me to then do some slight setup in BA1. But BA1 seems to be working as excellently as ever. Seemingly no difference between BA Pipeline and VAC, meaning I’ll be able to eventually point friends to it as a free alternative again.
I’ll go back to BAE for a little bit to see if I encounter anything amiss.
January 12, 2021 at 12:39 pm #16306MilkyKeymasterThere has bee a new BETA release of BAE – version 1.42.0, which addresses a couple of minor bugs picked up by the testers. There is also a minor update to VAC 4.31 which is now correctly signed. Here’s the link to a dropbox.

Download ONLY version 1.42.0 and VAC 4.31. If you do not uninstall your previous version of VAC, the BAE installer will place a removal tool on your desktop, and you should run this first. The BAE installer will set up and configure VAC as well.
FOr those of you also running BA1, I have not received the updated version of it yet, but is appears in my testing that VAC 4.31 works well with it. However, the BA1 installer will see VAC 4.31 as “foreign” and try to uninstall it, so you should uninstall VAC and install 4.31 independent of the BA1 insstaller.
January 31, 2021 at 7:37 am #16358docmanParticipantDear Milky
Thank you, seems to work a treat.
I had to manually install the pipeline and open properties as it didn’t work initially.
I had to trouble shoot it and it suggest updating drivers (of what I didn’t know) and it restarted and works.January 31, 2021 at 12:24 pm #16360MilkyKeymasterThanks for your comments. Most of the issues seem to be from those who have downloaded and installed a different version of VAC. Leif has compiled the program with 4.31, and that’s what the installer expects. if there is a variance, it seems it doesn’t handle it well.
I will pass on your comments. -
