Heya..
We remove the barix shortly and replace it by a mpx rebroadcaster over a digital (dish to dish) link. The barix’s audio transport protocol (mp3) caused a lot of overshoots at the transmitter. But most important.. it harmed the audio.. we lost quality. It sounded like a 128Kb mp3 file. If you dont have another way to get the audio to the transmitter..well then use the barix..i dont recommend it.We used it for a year… want to buy one ?

Joop KrauthausenMember
Why spread mpx? it’s easyer to spread L/R then on every transmitter you have one BBP.
On what cable you mean ?
because the (BBP processed) signal is present @ every location and so available to our transmitters. (the transmitters are spread over 20 km across the area)
it maybe more easy..but that was not my question..The transmitters receive their l/r or mpx over the local cable radio network… don’t know how to explain this more easy.

Joop KrauthausenMemberja , stel je vraag maar in het nederlands… het is hier een internationaal gezelschap.
Hoe kunnen we je helpen ?
Joop
Joop KrauthausenMemberSo.. we are adding shark to breakaway.
Strange things are happening here,….
Joop KrauthausenMemberusefull .. did not know that.
maybe Leif has an idea how to integrate rabbit into breakaway.
That way we benefit all !Joop
Joop KrauthausenMemberLOL…
Joop KrauthausenMemberHey, Just a guess what it could be.
Well, the humming sound is probably caused by the record player. Did you ground it properly to the rest of the set-up ? Sounds like my old sl1200 with a messed up power supply.
The ticks and rumble you hear are inaudible when unprocessed , since BBP holds a magnifying glass on to the record ,it lifts up all the nasty little bits and pieces.
Maybe you could run the song trough an offline processor like audition??? and remove the clicks ,pops and rumble.
The humming noise.. don’t know.. maybe you should consider ripping it again on a less noisy player.Joop
Joop KrauthausenMemberYes Leif !!
I had a rather bad alpha experience last week when i drove to the transmitter site….
it was snowing and my windshield was not that transparent as i wished it would be.EHM… wtf ?
maybe i dont know what alpha transparency is ..
is it something like the key i use for layering pictures in my virtual studio set up? Greenscreen stuff.. for tv??Joop KrauthausenMemberThe thing that really tics me off is the fact that i can buy the Alpha card for €180.- in my home town (Netherlands) .. and when i drive 10 Km to the east..(Germany) i buy them for €139.-
So.. guess..on another topic ..
Strange enough i never see user ratings regarding the dc-straight specs , or the fact that its very good for soft-processing.
Is Leifs software that secret ?kind regards,
joop
Joop KrauthausenMemberTakes a day or two… to process..
Mostly within 24 hours.
You download the trail version from the main page and wait for your code..
comes via e-mail ,then insert the code in the trail software and voila !e-mail looks like this :
Hello
Right click on the Breakaway Broadcast ICON on the taskbar and select
"About Breakaway Broadcast". Left-Click on the "Validate" button and
enter the authorization code exactly as shown below (i.e. copy and paste
works best):xxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx
(fake code obviously)After entering the above authorization code, left-click on "Register"
and follow the instructions to authorize Breakaway. If you have any questions please send an email to
<Broadcast@claessonedwards.com>.Thanks for your support!

Joop KrauthausenMemberHi All..
Uhm.. still no blinkin’ bars.
We did not change 1 thing !i’m kinda " überfragt "…
Joop
Joop KrauthausenMemberHi all,…
did you choose the right output ? cause i once made a little mistake choosing the digital output of the soundcard.. and heard nothing.
add a screenshot next time…??greetzz
Joop
Joop KrauthausenMemberHi all!
I’m checking BBP everyday and since last week it did not show the red blinking bars.
Maybe a stupid detail.. before last week we had the big meters running.. last week we showed the scopes big..so.. meters big.. bars blinking / scopes big.. no blinking?
turned to the big meters, in two day’s we know.
Ciao!
Joop
Joop KrauthausenMemberHi all !
Nah.. thats not it.. we do not use the plug-ins..not one of them, and the problem exists anyway.
it seems though..that the problem doesn’t occur that often as in the beginning of my postings.
cause my latest reset was over a week a go! normally it would start after a day or two..still the same parameters and operating environment.
Isn’t that strange?Greets!
