    Hello,

in the past we direct fed BBP a L/R signal from our mixing console and connected it directly to the transmitter.
Cause the transmitter was near the studio this was not a problem.

In the near future we plan to set-up multiple transmitters spread over the area connected to the studio by a MPX feed over the local cable company.
In the studio we use BBP L/R in and feed a profline cable modulator. (for the existing cable signal)
Is it possible to receive the MPX signal via a mpx rebroadcaster (mpx-out) insert it to BBP (in protection mode) for processing the transmitter?

Or is the connection from the mpx-out (rebroadcaster) to the mpx in (transmitter) a better idea?

i dont have a lot experience with MPX..

Why spread mpx? it’s easyer to spread L/R then on every transmitter you have one BBP.

On what cable you mean ?

because the (BBP processed) signal is present @ every location and so available to our transmitters. (the transmitters are spread over 20 km across the area)
it maybe more easy..but that was not my question..

The transmitters receive their l/r or mpx over the local cable radio network… don’t know how to explain this more easy.

@ receiving MPX and then using it in BBP at each transmitter, then yes it’s possible if you have hardware/software to de-modulate the MPX signal back into L/R for Breakaway.

which is why Boki made the comment about just leaving it in L/R over your STLs. If you can go with L/R for your STL, that’s the way to go. Otherwise you will need to convert back to L/R anyways at your transmitter, and it seems like a bad idea to add more complication. Not to mention that could potentially reduce the final sound quality.
