Hmm but with the installation there are 2 encoders included (you can choose to install them or not)… but that’s a shame then.
cyberneticorganismMemberSince i putted on the stereo widener you hear it better when the source material has a bad quality. I have to replace a lot of older songs, with a lower bitrate (and worse quality). If you just play them without BBP they sound reasonable / good, when using BBP with the stereo widener (can’t remember the exact term) it sounds like a really bad song.
cyberneticorganismMemberSo… that is somewhere around 2030? 😆 I have no problems if your release without the encoders, maybe it’s also an option to ask Ed how he get the licenses…
cyberneticorganismMemberLet me know if you ever release it, i am interested 🙂
cyberneticorganismMemberI don’t know what the problem is… never seen this before. Maybe somebody else has a clue?
cyberneticorganismMemberI guess you better start a new topic for that, i am also going a little bit offtopic… 😳 And the answer to your question is AAC+V2 i guess. The lowest bitrate without hearing loss of audio quality.. hmm, 64 kbps?
cyberneticorganismMemberWhich plug-in do you use? And where is it loaded? (in the mixer? deck a/b?). Why are you using that version of MySQL?
I am using this one: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.0.html, the newest version in the 5.0.x series. And that one is running fine under Windows 7, with SAM broadcaster 4.6.0. Probably this hasn’t anything to do with the problem you describe, but i just notice it.
cyberneticorganismMemberI thought that Leif was just kidding with "Leifcast", but i understand that it really exist? I also use Edcast to raise the volume of the stream, that’s working great 😉 I don’t know if Leifcast or your application is also capable of doing that job?
Is it stand-alone or also a DSP plug-in? I currently use the plug-in of Edcast in BBP. Are you willing to send me a copy of the application (your personal one), or is it private stuff?
cyberneticorganismMemberWell…you can also deliver an application without the codecs. I download my own codec(s) from the internet 😉 I am using only LAME so.
cyberneticorganismMemberI want a new more stable version of Edcast… ow wait, that is another program 😆 Sometimes it get stucked on a lower bitrate for some reason, and i had to restart BBP (and Edcast) to fix it again. Also on my live PC it was streamin at 208 kb/s instead 192 kb/s (which was configured). Restarting it a few times didn’t solve the problem. Next day it was over…
Strange stuff sometimes with Edcast… I actually don’t have any wished for BBP. It is a good product, can’t think of improvements at this time.
cyberneticorganismMemberAlso happy holidays from Studio 26 Radio, also located in the Netherlands. Holidays are over now, but we have left new years eve, and new-years-day So happy new-year :p
Tune in at http://www.studio26radio.nl if you are bored 🙂 just reinstalled the server, with BBP on Windows 7 (I stripped it down a little). I am using BBP live for my live shows…
cyberneticorganismMemberHave fun Leif, i just bought BBP Live so buy yourself a beer on my costs lol
No just making fun huh 🙂
Btw, with the activation of BBP Live i got myself an BSOD in Windows 7 64-bit. Just when BBP wanted to activate over the internet. So i restarted and runned BBP under administrator rights, now it’s activated succesfully. Strange shit. I had the same problem with SAM Broadcaster on Vista before, but i couldn’t get that solved. Also not under administrator rights, so they had to de-activate and activate it in the Spacial Audio company.
Maybe it has something to do with the technique they are using for the activation process? If somebody has a clue it’s always welcome.

I only use the FM transmitter for a bit of playing (and to wake up with my own radiostation on my clock radio in the morning ). It’s only 0,5 watt so no big broadcasts.
I still have to buy BBP ASIO for this PC, the only doubt is the price 🙂 I am going to use this PC for live shows (with the build in Juli@).

Breakaway Personal now has a low latency FM processor, so if you’re only playing music from your computer, you could actually get by with that one. 🙂
///Leif[/quote]
Well, i am streaming with one nonstop pc, both the FM transmitter and the internet stream with the same BBP version. What do you mean with "personal"? I only know BBP broadcaster, live and ASIO.
I also bought myself the Juli@ in the meantime, for my live PC. I still have to try BBP ASIO on it 🙂
Yorkie98: So with an MPX output you can also send RDS? I thought you needed a FM transmitter that is supporting RDS for that. Why can’t you use the BBP stereo encoder and clipper when using L/R input of the FM transmitter?
November 13, 2009 at 11:18 pm in reply to: getting breakaway broadcast to work with sam broadcaster #8911cyberneticorganismMemberYes, using Edcast (you can place encoders in edcast) 🙂 Are you dutch? I wrote a dutch manual for configuring SAM + BBP.
