It'll work fine with the included Breakaway Pipeline virtual audio cables, assuming the encoder can use audio from a specific soundcard. 🙂

The crash log you posted says you're using version "1.3.0.5".

Can you share a snippet of the voice/s in question that you're experiencing distortion with (preferably ~30 sec wav), and also the preset that you're using?

You should try installing the latest version of Breakaway Audio Enhancer from here:
    http://www.claessonedwards.com/download/breakaway_setup_1.40.03.exe
which was updated to work with Windows 10

AlexDrop, it depends on what the other products you're comparing it to actually do, and what "these type of things" means.

As a general purpose final broadcast audio processor, BreakawayOne competes squarely with all of the other flagship processors from the major manufacturers, as well as basically being the nephew of the Omnia.9 one of Omnia's two flagships. Some will say it's better or worse than whatever other brand's flagship processor (some of them cost over $10,000 btw, most are over $7,000), which is a never-ending debate, but ~everyone can agree that it's a competently and properly engineered piece of broadcast equipment. Leif's processing has been used on everything from the Super Bowl (the last 14x actually) to the Olympics (they use 75-100 boxes), and have been installed everywhere from the Eiffel Tower to Voice Of America.

    TLDR; Yes. 😛

BreakawayOne technically can't replace Breakaway DJ, if you were/are using Breakaway DJ's virtual ASIO driver to sit between your music software and your actual soundcard's ASIO.

But… you can install ASIO4ALL virtual ASIO to Kernel Streaming interface… which can work with the Breakaway Pipeline virtual soundcards, to route audio from your music software's ASIO output, into BreakawayOne via Kernel Streaming, and then you would use BreakawayOne to output to your actual soundcard with ASIO. Which other than a little bit of added latency, will accomplish what you want to do.

That being said… I haven't found a situation yet where the results aren't more consistent and listenable by just processing the mix after the master output of the DJ mixer. If you are willing to test that method, just using the ASIO drivers of your mixer or soundcard… I think you'll agree. Not only does that require only 1x HD + 1x Low-latency in the license for it, but you'll be able to get even lower latency than you could have achieved with Breakaway DJ. (most likely somewhere between 25-50% less latency)

That, combined with how few copies of Breakaway DJ were sold (it's not even a 3-digit number), made it fairly easy to decide not to do the large amount of work required to give a 100% all-uses all-functionality upgrade path (vs 99.9%) for a very small group of customers.

I don't see anything in the logs that show you've been blocked by the forum.

The claessonedwards.com website isn't setup to block anything at all.

Maybe it's some other aspect of the internet connection you're using there? As you maybe know, Leif lives in Thailand. So if something blocked it nation-wide… he'd know about it. What's your ISP there?

You would need to use an HTTP server, such as Icecast which I recommend, and having that on the studio end. Of course it's fine, and really should be on the same OS/Box that the studio's BaOne is running on. Then have the BaOne at the transmitter/s pull from the icecast using the built-in stream receiver.

Breakaway Pipeline is a soundcard 🙂 You can make ~ as many of those as you need, from the Breakaway Pipeline Control Panel. It's free to do that. So… I recommend Breakaway Pipeline, and it's free. 😛

Here's a screenshot with a red box around where you set the number of Pipelines that you want to have.

You'll be outputting the audio from each Station Playlist, through its own Pipeline, and into each of 3x stations' inputs in BreakawayOne.

As far as getting audio to the outside world, if you only need to hear one station at a time on your speakers/headphones then you will only need a single physical soundcard to do that. If your soundcard has more than 2x channels output on it, you can then have more than 1x station being converted to analog. 🙂

Station Playlist should have a setting where you can specify what soundcard you want to output to. That's how you do more than one. You'll also need 3x input/HD paths configured in BaOne.

What did "Auto-Configure Block Size" say after it was done testing? What size did it choose? How many buffers of that size are you using?

What frame buffer jitter percentage are you seeing on average and peak?

Have you tested the latencies of your system with something like LatencyMon?
    http://www.resplendence.com/latencymon
And if so, what kind of peak latencies are you seeing? What drivers/devices have the highest latency?

Noted. I'll pass it (possible BaOne sleep issue) on to Leif after I confirm it with some testing here.

In Station Playlist, set the output soundcard to Breakaway Pipeline 1.

Run BreakawayOne in config mode, set the soundcard input of your HD path to Breakaway Pipeline 1, click "Auto-configure Block Size". Close the config.

If you're using App mode (instead of Service mode), and you didn't already have it running before you ran config mode, run BreakawayOne in App mode.

You should see the processing meters moving in BreakawayOne because there's audio running through it now.

Do the same thing again for your second station, using Breakaway Pipeline 2.

I just went through the arduous process of creating a fake account on shoutcast to test this. It worked fine for me. So it's not a problem with BreakawayOne.

???  Are you sure that you see text in BreakawayOne Streaming Overview, in the "Current" box, like this?
    http://i.imgur.com/WZ1YXea.png

You'll probably be using the "File or URL" option, unless you have the management package and are pushing meta-data to BreakawayOne's HTTP server.

Let us know when you find the problem. 🙂
