Hello. Is it possible to set up a point to point IP STL using BAOne both ends natively without using Livewire or needing a Shoutcast/Icecast server in the middle? Would prefer to use lossless FLAC, or possibly Opus.

Of course it's fine, and really should be on the same OS/Box that the studio's BaOne is running on. Then have the BaOne at the transmitter/s pull from the icecast using the built-in stream receiver.

We've tried that approach, and I was hoping to simplify things by having a BAone 'point to point' solution without also requiring a Icecast server on the pc to stream to just one client. i.e. The Opticodecs have a mode that would serve one stream direct to one player. Perhaps in a future update 🙂

[/quote]Try the new version (3.19.06) it has an internal streaming server and a pass-through core license rule change which could be useful for you:
quote :Internal Streaming Server (NEW:)
Allows pulling a stream directly from BreakawayOne. Useful as an STL, or for utility feeds for events etc.
Serves up to 9 streams per encoder.
Access can be controlled by IP whitelist and/or static key
Adjustable Burst on ConnectPass-through core license rule change:
If you’re using only pass-through cores (no HD, FM or AM), then run-as-service, BaRemote and HTTP control are included for free, and no longer require the management package.
This makes the PT + Streaming option a cost effective, high quality, reliable streaming encoder in its own right,
useful anywhere you need a high quality streaming encoder, no matter what processor you use.April 3, 2018 at 6:18 am #14926LeifKeymasterYup! It took a while but it's finally here.
The dual stream receiver with standby backup is also hugely useful for using it as an STL, because the backup doesn't use any data when it's not in use, so you can route it over a metered connection like 3G.
