Are you using the pipeline? Or just real soundcard input & output? Or LiveLink? Or some combination of them?

The search function must be off then, if I can’t view it. Checking now…

    Ah, yes…

So, I’m guessing it was turned off to make the CPU use lower, and make PowWeb happier until we can get this moved to another host. (and to SMF to stop this spam)
will this forum be moving to smf? if so how will you be able to cary over the threads?
Leif might have turned off the search function, if the CPU use of the site was "too high". Can’t wait till this is on a new host, and I’m switching to SMF. 😉 *Much* better against spammers from the get go, and also the ban system makes it much easier to track spammers/people because it acts more like a dragnet. The better you make a ban, the more exponential its ability to catch them is. 8)

Where is this option? What’s the URL? I can’t find it, and haven’t used it before. What an awesome ("secret") forum administrator I am. 😆

Wait till you hear Passive Aggressor preset… 😉 It might not change your habit, but it’ll be tempting for sure.

I specifically said that I’m not saying that anyone is begging, so that someone wouldn’t take what I said previously as what I was insinuating. Some people take things the wrong way, so I wanted to be extra clear and make sure you understand that I’m not saying anyone is begging. (and you maybe misunderstood that)

About 6 months ago someone was complaining that there wasn’t an update coming out every 2 weeks basically, and actually wanted a refund because of it. So I’m addressing people at the other spectrum here, not you or anyone else specifically, Jippie46. I applaud you for wanting to help the community, and encourage you to submit more stuff if you are inspired to do so. 8) Some people are not as patient, and I would hate for them to be turned off about there not being a version for OSX after this amount of time.

It IS something that has had some very decent effort put into it. Unfortunately I can’t talk about it, but people shouldn’t get their hopes up about it. That’s mainly why nothing has been said about it, because we don’t want people to get their hopes up, and to be let down by their own impatience. I’m not condemning anyone for being "impatient" either. I have ADD myself, so I’m far from perfect in that category. 😉

In the Settings. Right click on main Breakaway Audio Enhancer window, go to "Settings", then if you’re in the Wizard, click "Expert Mode". If you’re already in Expert Mode, you’ll see a "Wizard" button instead.

Breakaway Audio Enhance only inputs and outputs at 16 bits. Only at 44 or 48 kHz sample rates.

This is something I’ve been trying to get Leif to consider… 24bits and up to 192kHz for input, output, AND the core itself. AND in 5.1 for the home theater version.

Although I’m not sure if he’ll budge on the core sample rate, I think I convinced him to change the maximum input and output sample rates, since at the very least…. Windows resampling in the audio engine is much more transparent at 192kHz. 🙂

So yeah… no matter what, the new versions are going to consider this… and it will benefit the sound. I will tend to agree that 16bit may be enough for an end user CD format… but this isn’t 1982 anymore. 192kHz 24bit is the transport format of choice today… and it ought to be how Breakaway operates if the hardware supports it. 8)

It might just be a matter of waiting for things to be possible to be released for the public. If there was anything working on OSX, there are reasons that I wouldn’t say that it was possible… like for instance… begging like crazy.

Not saying that anyone is begging, not at all, but I also haven’t told anyone that anything is working on OSX yet. 😉

Don’t give up on your hopes, is what I am saying. 8)
So they pulling the plug for some MP3’s in this forum?
That’s strange. Are they located in the USA?

Better find some ISP outside USA (for example Europe).
Our laws are not that ‘strong’.
The mp3 thing happened with MY site, not ceaudio.com

And as previously mentioned, it had NOTHING to do with copyright. They didn’t bother to ask me at all. The mp3 files were for my mastering business, for clients. 8)

There’s software for doing it already…
    http://www.linearacoustic.com/aerofile.htm

But you’re looking at thousands of $. I’m not sure how much that is, but I would guess above 10 grand, if not above 15 grand. It’s not outrageously priced either. Plus you’ll need a RadiantGrid cloud which runs into the 100s of thousands, depending on what kind of scale you need.

What IS outrageously priced is Breakaway. 😉

Anyways… I don’t think you’re going to see something like this from Breakaway, at a hobbyist price, unless it can be done without trampling on Leif’s professional products.

Yep, it’s PowWeb. I recommended it 2 years ago because at the time they had been great for me for 5 years. Then sure enough 6 months after that, they go and delete all of the mp3s off of my website that I use for mastering… without bothering to see if it was against any of the TOS (it wasn’t)< and without bothering to even ask me about it first.

It’s a similar scenario with what’s going on with this site now, except they are actually pulling the whole site. Totally lame, and total lies when they say "unlimited" space and bandwidth.

Have you tried running the newer Breakaway with the older Pipeline? Or the older Breakaway with the newer Pipeline?

    My bad 😛

All I have to say is… wait till you hear it with Undo & the stereo enhancer. I had already run the PFD mix & test through it, saved as MPX, but any "teasing" will be trickled until release. There’s enough momentum from PFD & NAB to last for months. 😉

And you have to be in the "Expert Mode" of the settings to see that. 😉
