[*]New version of Breakaway Pipeline included, which works much better on dual and quad core systems. To get the new version of the pipeline, you must UNINSTALL all previous breakaway products, and reboot your machine, and then run the new Breakaway installer. It will not upgrade an existing pipeline, because if it’s still on your system, the old one must be working fine already. So, if the old pipeline is working fine, don’t worry about it! No need to reboot or uninstall, just install the new one on top.///Leif[/quote]
Hi: This AM tried to upgrade from .69 to .77 by "installing on top". Installer would not allow it. Installer complained that an earlier version was detected and the product must be uninstalled & comp rebooted. Installed died after that. Tried a couple of times, then backed up ini, uninstalled and installed. That worked fine, just no way that I can see to install on top of an existing working install.

Edit: Keith, sorry this somewhat hijacked your topic. 😳

Actually, thanks to others from making this a post of some value instead of the self-serving promotional spew that it started as. 🙂

Can you tell me how you got Adapt-X to see VST plugins?
The Adapt-X PDF file says it is for DirectX plugins.

JesseG taught me this trick. (Credit where due, etc.) You’ll need DirectXer (http://tonewise.com/ ) It’s $44 & worth it. It’s a DirectX wrapper for VST plugs, so you "DirectXify" your VSTs, and then upon wrapping them, they will appear as a DirectX plug inside Adapt-X. It’s a two-stage process. Jesse also taught me to set Adapt-X to use only the 24-bit setting in Adapt-X for best resolution.
Works well for me on my XP and Windows Server 2003 machines.

lumper5MemberSpartacus doesn’t have a default skin, so it takes the frame of its host – so you can see how mine looks (attached). Spart. has two controls: amount & length in ms. You have to toggle between them. Hope that helps…
lumper5MemberThanks, Ipy. Warmth is def. one of the qualities I value most in sound, so it’s one of the things I’m after. I’d say I could push it a little harder, too. To what end, though? 🙂 Thanks for the feedbag.
lumper5MemberJesse:
Would you add an attenuator even if you’ve set the mp3gain to 89.0 dB?

lumper5MemberI know I can’t wait. Go, Jesse, go.
lumper5MemberBeta 64 never crashed on me. Upgrade to 67 was quick & easy. I like Unca’s presets, but I’m giving CGSmooth a try, but I find I really have to push it HARD to get a sound I like. Still, a good preset. Thanks for updating the client.
My online station has never sounded better.
Best,
