Hi Carl!
I’m confused as to what you’re trying to do. Why play music files on the broadcast computer, when you also have a music computer?
Could you draw a detailed diagram (hand drawn is fine) of how you want the signals to flow?
Remember, computer and mixers are not single blocks. A computer will have at least one sound card which has at least one input and output.. Pipelines have one input and output, Breakaway Broadcast also has one input and output. Windows media player only has an output, no input, et cetera. If you could draw all these things separately, it’ll be much easier to understand what you’re trying to do.
Best,
///LeifLeifKeymasterSfinx, just install the new one on top.

LeifKeymasterAbove is correct – thanks.
Also, no need for Spartacus anymore. Challenger is now built in!
///Leif
LeifKeymasterI’m not sure.. Could the file have gotten corrupted somehow?
Please uninstall BBP, then open Regedit and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareClaessonEdwards
If you see any BreakawayBroadcast key there, delete it.
Then, download a fresh copy of the installer here, and install it.
Let me know if it solves the problem.
Best,
///LeifLeifKeymasterWOW! That’s slim.
You do miss out on network connectivity though. A blessing, perhaps? 🙂
///Leif
LeifKeymasterReally strange! I can’t imagine what would be causing that.
Lots of people are using Juli@ cards and I’ve never heard of such a problem.
Is it the same problem on both outputs, or just the on-air output?

LeifKeymasterHi Mark!
Perhaps you have discovered a bug! Which version number are you using? (Check the About box).
Best,
///LeifLeifKeymasterConor, yep — that’s exactly the album I heard it on two 😀. Awesome set.
Sgeirk, cool 🙂. I’ve never actually played with an Ariane. I have yet to make sense of the meters, especially the gating. A lot of people seems to like the sound of it as a leveller, perhaps I should play with it some day.
With Challenger, basically I wanted to make a sort of ariane-style widening (but improve upon it) without actually doing any levelling, since wideband levelling is a so much cleaner and less problem-prone way to do levelling, when you do it right.

LeifKeymasterBeats me 😉.

LeifKeymasterXP embedded still beats all of the above — significantly smaller and lighter than Win2k, and it can boot off a USB flash drive. This yields a fast-booting rock-solid audio processor with no moving parts!
The only downside is the way it’s licensed. They want you to pay $1000 for the tools to make an XP embedded image, and then $90 per deployed computer. Doesn’t really make sense if you’re building one machine.One could possibly argue that you’d be alright with an XP Home license considering that you wouldn’t be including even half of the features of that, but I’m no lawyer.
Here’s just how slim it is:
That includes file and printer sharing which allows you to map drives on an XPE machine. In fact, it includes most anything you need — it can be A LOT slimmer, although it’s hardly worth it. This image is about 250mb before you install any machine-specific drivers.

LeifKeymasterSure, uncheck the "start with windows" box and then manually place a shortcut to breakaway live in the startup folder for the user account.

LeifKeymasterHi KLF!
It may not be worth upgrading a Pentium 3 computer, because you will still need new ram (DDR2) and maybe a new power supply (with ATX 12v connectors). Basically you would only be keeping the case, and the case is cheap — you might as well buy new stuff. New stuff isn’t expensive at all nowadays, I just built a machine today for 3200 SEK (315 euros) and that includes 25% sales tax!
This price included case, gigabyte socket 775 motherboard, 1gb PC800 ram, Pentium Dual Core E5300, a 4gb usb stick, AND an ESI Juli@ card!
These were retail prices (I bought in stores) — online would be cheaper.

LeifKeymaster
Hi Leif,
The Challenger Stereo Enhancer sounds fab – great stuff! 😀
Just noticed this evening while playing "Blue Boy – Remember Me" that Challenger is neither widening or narrowing the stereo image for this song on any band…
Awesome! That means it’s working PERFECTLY! 🙂
I remember that song very well. There may be two channels on the CD, but that song is mono. There’s nothing to widen except noise.
On the other hand, the original song ( – Woman of the ghetto) is nice wide stereo! 🙂
Best,
///LeifLeifKeymasterThanks, guys! I never would have figured this one out, I was thinking in a completely different direction.
///Leif
LeifKeymasterThanks man 🙂.. Just wait ’til the hardware version comes out though!
