If I was Leif I would at least talk to the users of my software…
[/quote]Yeah, as would I. Even if I could not give a firm answer.

MemberBreakaway still is fantastic. I am amazed at the consistency with Live. Adjust a few sliders and BOOM.
I love StereoTool as well. I have battled with it for consistency, and with the dual multibands it is really getting there.
What really is cool though, would be to take StereoTool and bypass everything except the declipper, then attenuate the output by 23dB.
Then adjust the Range slider in Breakaway and run your favourite preset. 🙂

MemberNo offense to Leif, but I am going to make a reasonable assumption that this is probably on the back burner. 🙂
mpegfailsafe
MemberI make no assumption or opinion on Leif's schedule. Frankly, I would probably be doing exactly as he is. Hopefully all is well! 🙂

MemberWell, Leif contributed code and / or ideas back into StereoTool with the latest beta. The CPU use for the clipper has been reduced quite a bit.
To give you an idea, you can run ST with the composite clipper and declipper on a Celeron j1800 system with the current beta. Truly insane.
It is obvious something new is in the work at Omnia involving either the ST core, or elements from it.
I just threw on Breakaway Live with CGSmooth today. Still a remarkable little processor! 🙂

MemberHans is still active over in the StereoTool forum. It seems as though reducing the CPU load from the clippers for an upcoming Omnia product is also being merged into StereoTool, judging by the latest beta and some other comments.
How this will pan out is anyone's guess. 🙂
As for Mr. Leif — I still believe he is very busy. Despite this photo, which I admit is quite ironic.

MemberLooks like this domain expires on May 31st. Hopefully it gets renewed!! 🙂
mpegfailsafe
MemberI suppose StereoTool fills the gap for the time being in the $130-150 range for the web.
This has become quite heated, no?
Given Leif's intense involvement with Omnia, busy probably is an understatement! 🙂
mpegfailsafe
MemberGotcha. Yeah, I would imagine busy is an understatement!
March 8, 2015 at 9:56 pm in reply to: This Topic is about Stereotool, Hans van Zutphen and Omnia… #14076mpegfailsafe
MemberFrank Foti over on that group pointed out quite directly that Hans insisted that he continue development of ST.
Hans just posted a new beta today.
Time will tell what actually happens.
mpegfailsafe
MemberPerhaps Omnia should really consider creating lower-cost software for mass use. It would be a win-win situation for them.

MemberPoint(s) taken!
I made the assumption that the ProStream was the O.3 simply because of some of the information about the processing. Interesting stuff!
Good things can take a while. 'Cant wait to see what Leif has in store for us! 🙂
August 30, 2014 at 9:01 pm in reply to: Starting a commercial FM radio station from scratch, is it possible? #13889mpegfailsafe
MemberI need to point out that my comments were obviously in relation to non-commercial FM. However, commercial FM stations still faced many problems just like all FM: Hardly any channels are open, and in the case of the United States — The FCC isn't even looking at applications. 🙂
mpegfailsafe
MemberYeah, it really does. It's probably my favorite preset in the software.
I liked it so much that I actually tried to duplicate it in Stereotool!

MemberI personally think CGSmooth sounds amazing. And really, there is nothing like BLive for web streaming.
Good to hear that there appears to be some secret development going on at least!
I wondered if Breakaway would ever turn into something like the Telos ProStream to be honest. That's using the Omnia-3 Net Core if I remember correctly.
