Sad to see this thread is "dead"… Is everyone so protective about their sound? 😉 Maybe people are actually trying to find some suggested settings, but are unable to find this thread? Can we make this sticky one? Also, suggested settings are welcome! I have BBP and struggling to find good settings in caffeteria environment. We tried Breakaway Audio Enhancer, but it "bounches" too much with the music, and now trying BBP. We run the music from PC to our Yahama "sound system" wich has no enhancement features (only BASS and TREBLE). And for extra: speakers are wired strangely – only left channel can be heared from all speakers if using stereo (now BBP is on mono setting, of course). Problem is to find settings not too heavy but strong enough to lift up quiet tracks on Spotify. Any ideas/suggestions?OK. Well these are the results.
I uninstalled Microsoft Security Essentials, disabled firewall and installed BBP version 0.90.69 again – now it works. So, at least in Windows 7 (64 bit) the issue is Security. If you have Windows firewall and Security Essentials ON – BBP won't work.
ALSO: I installed newest version (demo) 0.90.95 to my HP PC, it has Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, insider build 14352 with Windows Defender and Firewall ON – Breakaway installs and works just great! I hope you guys at Claesson Edwards are aware of this. So at some point BBP will work with Windows 10 when the W10 update comes to "normal customers".

just in case there was a bug fix that was addressed.Also to anyone who may be reading this, AVG has been a thorn in many system admin sides. If you want a free anti-virus that's much faster, much better detection/heuristic rates, much lower false positives… Avast is #1 Free AV for years now.

I have this same issue! I only have Microsoft Security Essentials, but BBP just wont start, even the program icon is just "blank white page". Help is welcome! And yea, uninstalling doesn't work either. Win 7, 64bit. BBP suddenly just wont load.
Breakaway Broadcast processor just suddenly stopped working. I uninstalled it and reinstalled, nothing changed. Also breakaway icon is just "blank white page" and the main window or system tray icon wont start. In task manager it is visible but it just wont start… 🙁 I started Windows in recovery mode and there I can start it like nothing, of course without music since audio cards doesnt work on recovery mode…
