MilkyKeymaster
I had echo initially, because I had configured speakers as well as virtual cables.
MilkyKeymasterYes, every incidence of Breakaway One must be paid for.
MilkyKeymasterMy M-Audio is at 4 blocks also. I assumed it was the default, as I've never had to touch it.
MilkyKeymasterMilkyKeymasterMilkyKeymasterTrue, but "less is more" seems to be apt here. It sounds like you made the same mistake I did at first – defining speaker output as well as "card" output. This will create two (almost) parallel circuits, so you will hear a slight over-dub.
I'm limited in the number of screenshots I can fit on each post, so I'll create a couple of separate replies. The following string of images are of my setup with an M-Audio Delta 192 audio card, which has native ASIO.
MilkyKeymasterYes it does (use the HD option). Because it is the fully optioned "Pro" version, it comes with a lot more options than BADJ, but you can set up two "cores" and configure each one separately. Set it up on the trial version (it installs to a different folder). It is fully functional, but you will get a drop-in voice over every now and then until you license it.
MilkyKeymasterHave you updated to the latest release as per this link? http://www.forumclaessonedwards.com/forum/index.php/topic,5308.0.html

February 5, 2017 at 8:56 pm in reply to: Equalizer APO Install after Breakaway Audio Enhancer ? #5707MilkyKeymasterThis is for a quick google for "Eualizer APO".
Upon installing the app, it allows you to choose the device you want to install the APO to. You will need to know which audio device you need to enhance. The app displays a complete list of connectors, device names and informs you of which ones support APO. If you want to alter the new equalizer’s parameters, you need to navigate to where Equalizer APO is installed and open a configuration TXT file. So, it appears that you need to nominate at the installation of the APO. Therefore, Breakaway would have to be running to even appear in the list.
I have to ask the question why you would want another parametric equaliser in line with the one already within Breakaway?
MilkyKeymasterThe best I can provide is an example of how I have mine set up. I am using the HD core to an M-Audio 192 ASIO card and playing music via Ots AVTV, so I believe our environment is similar. I will compile some screen shots of my setup and post in this thread for any others with similar needs.
This is what the final output should look like.
MilkyKeymasterIf nothing has changed with the software, and nothing in your hardware, the only other grey area would be your ISP (internet provider). Is the modem failing? Can you do some speed tests on your link and see if it is dropping below the point that edcast can keep up? Maybe you need to speak to someone about increasing your transfer speed.
MilkyKeymasterI don't use SAM, but, is there any level controls in there? How about AGC? Maybe that is reducing the level after BAOne.
MilkyKeymasterThanks for your explanation, Leif. I am really not that illiterate, but I guess I found the balance of "goodies" in each option a little hard to understand. Your grasp of English is perfect.
From reading your other posts, the inference is that running as a service is highly desirable, yet it is bundled in with other goodies which, to me are of little consequence. So, I have the choice of only running in foreground or adding AU$145 to my costs (the US exchange rate is currently seventy cents) to buy numerous options I won't actually use.
I love the new sound of BAOne, and it is obviously where you will spend your energies into the future, but I cannot justify a $350AU spend for one HD core and remote management, so I guess I will stick to my dead-in-the-water Breakaway DJ.
MilkyKeymasterIt is possible to use BAOne for "general computer usage" with one HD core. However, like its other poor cousin, Breakaway DJ, there is no free upgrade path, so you would have to purchase a complete full licence if you migrate.
I have been running the trial version of BAOne, and it is very, very good, but I am unsure whether to lash out the US$248 for a single core plus management, or just settle for my already paid for BADJ. Perhaps Leif might consider a cut down version of BAOne with just one core and none of the streaming options or other "frills", but with the new engine and range of presets.
