Why would you want to squash the dynamic range when you’re just listening for yourself?
Plutonium is a loud preset, and it makes some compromises to get there. If you want to listen loud, use your volume control! Reference Heavy with Bass Boost is a good starting point (Plutonium is based on it).Best,
///LeifI happen to like the in your face squashed, bright sound of Plutonium for personal listening. I guess I’ve just grown up listening to loud radio so to be able to listen to my own music with the same dynamics or lack there of with enhanced clarity and reduced noise is very enjoyable for me. It also works well for causual background music where you don’t necessarily want dynamics. Anyway, I would welcome the addition of Plutonium to BAE. Of course I will probably just upgrade to Live whenever the updated version with toolbar is released 😀.

I echo those thoughts! I love processed sound on my music. Let plutonium or even the upcoming rustonium be featured on BAE!
I don’t know, but as maczrool mentioned I love the bright sound of Plutonium. IMO the squashed sound of these type of presets, seem to bring up all the details in music better than other presets. For example, to me the "radio magic" preset sounds better than the magnifiying glass, as it has a clener more datailed sound in the midrange, but the plutonium, seems to have brighter highs, I guess a mix between the two would be ideal 😀
But when I want to listen a more balanced audio, my favorite presets are French Kiss, Reference Heavy and Helix (in that order).
My god, this just confirms the "There’s an ass for every seat" theory.. No matter what, everything will be liked by someone 🙂.
Radio Magic sounds good? Come on guys 🙂. I made it to be as squashed sounding as I could, particularly in the high-end (to sort-of simulate how traditional FM processors sound) and also added a 15 kHz low-pass filter for the full effect! How can you like that sound? 😯 🙂
Then again, Plutonium is a good sounding preset. I suppose there is merit to including it in BAE. Alright guys, you win!

///LeifHow I like radio magic’s sound….??? well it was kind magical, like "love at first sight, or first listening" 😀. Seriously, personally sometimes I preffer like the squashed FM sound, don’t ask why, maybe are my speakers or just me. But the gold medal definetly goes to "Frenc Kiss" IMO.

For my taste, the Magnifying Glass preset is the most natural-sounding of them all. But hey, I’m looking for detail and accuracy. I don’t like harsh.
