HI, in most cases the peq sliders can be left unless you have a poor frequency responce curve in your soundcard. The instructions and an absolutely brilliant tool for carrying out the tilt settings for those without sophisticated test gear is available here:

The tilt is a very important setting to get right, and you may need to adjust the peq settings if and only if you have a very big linearity problem with your frequency curve.
As for your preset, ther is no right and wrong, its all down to taste, basically you can play with all the presets and the parameters without fear of overmodulation (once the tilt is correctly set).
All that will change is the characteristics of your sound. The settings you choose really depend upon your programming and your own judgement.
