Hi there.
Just wondering… I have an older version of Breakaway Broadcast Processor (version 0.90.69), so is an update offered to users, or do we have to re-purchase the program again? I haven’t been active on this forum in a very long time nor have I used the software, and had to create a new account as well.
Thanks.
EDIT: When I say "update" I mean is there an update to a newer version of the program offered to people who have already purchased an older version.

Please download your version (BBP or BBP Live or BBP ASIO) and install on same computer as a x.x.69 version.
Your software will be registered automatically.Best regards.
August 21, 2012 at 12:49 pm #13423nfld2002MemberThanks for your response. I just downloaded and installed the newest version of Breakaway Broadcast and installed it in the same location I had the old one. After that was complete, I opened the software and it says that it is a trial version.
Any suggestions on what I should do?
Thanks again.
August 21, 2012 at 4:46 pm #13424didacParticipantAre you sure that older version is registered to you? Or it’s a cracked version?
If you continues having problems with your license, please contact with leif@claessonedwards.com
Sorry for the issue.
Best regards.
August 21, 2012 at 10:10 pm #13425nfld2002MemberThe version I have was purchased by the company I work for 3-4+ years ago I’m guessing. I was responsible for the operation of the program while we used it. Basically, the software is on a computer which hasn’t been used in a while, and I no longer know where the serial key is, what e-mail was used for registration, etc. All I know is that the software I have on the computer is registered and working at the moment, but I am unable to update it to a newer version.
I will attempt to update a few more times, and if the problem persists I will get in contact with one of the e-mail addresses you posted.
Thanks for your help didac.

Best Regards!

The software works fine on the older version I have. I am just having problems updating it to the current version.
Also the software was purchased for a live broadcast event, under my request, for me to use. A copy of the software was handed to me on a flash drive along with the serial for installation on my computer. I still continue to work for the same company, and I was responsible for the use of this software. We may need to use the software again in the future which is why I would like to upgrade. I don’t really see a problem with me using the license.

August 24, 2012 at 8:10 pm #13430phantomfmMemberThere are rumors about a new breakaway version comming out by the end of 2012 the first quarth of 2013.
The new version would have more control parameters, like atack and release times per band.can anyone confirm this ? (I think Leif can clearout this issue)
Thanks…Jeroen.

From where are you hearing this rumour?
"Rumoured" update to BBP has been awaited for 2 1/2 years, most now accept that development has stopped.

that’s not a bad thing. most people don’t understand that the work which resulted in the Omnia.9 is the same modular codebase that the new Breakaway will be put together with. that’s ok.September 14, 2012 at 2:51 pm #13434yorkie98ParticipantI guess when put like that Jesse, it’s true, even though that’s not what I was getting at..
You know very well, probably more than anybody that I am a long establised commercial user and enthusiast for this program and that I have been awaiting the new version (let alone the fix to the well documented pipeline problem) for a very long time but there does come a time when a reluctant sinking acceptance creeps in that this is unlikely to happen.
I REALLY hope I’m wrong and that the new version is imminent but I gave up holding my breath for it a very long time ago.
Yorkie.
September 14, 2012 at 4:57 pm #13435JesseGMemberI hear you, I’m the same way.
There are some newer versions of VAC that use several improvements from Leif. If they really fix things, then I would agree with you if you suggested that Leif should have released a patcher for Pipeline.

But I’m guessing you’ve already tried that latest version. :< -
