I think I may have seen this in the forum, but can’t find it (search?)

I just installed a Trace Alpha into an Optiplex 780. Lots of memory, plenty of speed, works fine with Juli cards. With the trace, it runs for a bit, then crashes the computer (parity error). I haven’t found a fix yet… updated all drivers I could find, played with buffers, changed ram… nothing.

Did anyone find a fix for this?

    Thanks!

You might check in the bios and make sure parity check is disabled.I’m sure you’re not using non-parity ram in a machine that requires parity.Just strange it does it on the trace alpha.I’ve had no issues with mine.sounds like a ram issue.Hope u get it working.

Crossed fingers… it’s been working nearly 6 hours now. Cloned the original hard drive to a SSD. When that didn’t work, I took the thing from Win7 back to XP Pro. At the moment it seems happy.

The wierd thing is I have several running on Juli cards & Win7 with no trouble.

Gotta admit though… this one sounds sweet & looks very good on the mod monitor!

Trace should work ok with win 7 32 BIT not 64!! As i understand they’re working on a 64 bit driver.I just like xp pro and even win 2000 pro..and i love this card!!

3 days solid. Guess this configuration likes XP.

    OK with me.
