Maybe it’s time to ask some advise here. I have a problem for a while, and it’s getting on my nerves

I am using BBP Broadcaster together with SAM, and i use the livelink to transport the audio between those two. The internet stream is running fine, without any problems. But the audio that is transported back to SAM through livelink (and then goes to the speaker output in SAM, which is in his turn connected to the FM transmitter) is stuttering.

Most of the time if i restart SAM or BBP it’s gone, for a couple of days…and then it starts again. It just stuttering every few seconds, a little crackle… the audio isn’t running smooth as it should.

I use a standard Realtek HD onboard soundcard, integrated on the motherboard. Any ideas?

I can’t restart BBP everytime, because my listeners are growing…

Man, that’s no good. I’ll test your scenario myself and see if I can reproduce it.

Thanks Leif. It’s btw. running on a AMD system (5050E CPU), with windows server 2008. I didn’t test it on this computer yet (Intel).

Also on the AMD system the breakaway pipeline isn’t working fine, that’s why i am using Livelink. But i discussed that before here on the forum.

The VAC author has *finally* reproduced the long-standing vac issue. Perhaps a solution on the horizon.

Wow, thank goodness for that, I DID find a workaround myself for this seemingly unresolveable issue but it was expensive.
I was installing secondary Soundblaster cards and using the record in and virtual record bus from these cards instead of using the Breakaway pipeline. This fixed the stuttering issue as the Pipeline (VAC) was not being used for the input device. It seemed that it was on the input where it was happening as the pipeline would work fine for the L/R output for webcasting.
