Hello again. Sometimes during windows startup I get following error from Breakaway "Error starting audio engine. Child process not responding" with only button available (ok). After pressing it I’m taken to settings screen, then if I press Finish there, main window starts up and everything is ok. Not much of a roblem really I just wondering why does this happen? It seems to happen at random cuz most of the time everything starts just fine and I haven’t changed anything.
It seems to happen cuz Windows starts it’s services and autorun proccesses more or less at random (but I may be wrong), If there is a way to specify what proccess or service to start first and what second, third etc. (exept system critical proccesses services) I suppose that would eliminate this error.
I can confirm that I have the same issue under WinXP Pro Sp-3. I run WinPatrol Plus and wonder if delaying having Breakaway startup might help… Will experiment and report back.
Well, it’s early days yet, but I was seeing the startup error on every system start. I just rebooted after using WinPatrol Plus to set a 50 second delay for Breakaway startup and didn’t see hide nor hair of the error.
