For those who want to test a slimmed down Xp,
especially for timmywa I uloaded my sefmade versionSlimmy is an Nlited XP I adapted to The Advanced Host Controller Interface
It is a barebone windows, but 95% of the programs can run onto Slimmy
After installing You have to copy your keyboard over the kbdus.dll in
the System32 directory as this is a Belgium Keyboard
You need to change company name to yours
You need to change timezone
This is an American English Xp
If You have a HDMI socquet onto your display card then the first driver
to install is the nForce_HDA_10.3.00.23_international.exe or Your HDMI
shall never work
I have downloaded a lot of tiny Xps, none was working for me
I think this one will run happyly onto 99% of computers .
So If You Try It ,Let me knowDownload

Thanks.

December 22, 2009 at 6:07 am #9260icyMemberHey Guys
I forgot to mention that slimmy only works onto
Intel processors,
NOT AMD
internet browser is only IE6 SPI
Mediaplayer 11 integrated
All updates till 12 december
Do not forget to install DirectX 9 or the soundcard shall not workicy
December 22, 2009 at 6:22 am #9261LeifKeymasterI have successfully used Breakaway on Windows XP Embedded systems without DirectSound. In fact, I have even successfully used Breakaway on Windows systems with the Windows Audio Service disabled!
Kernel Streaming bypasses both of them — they’re neither required nor used as long as you use KS. Of course, sound card drivers could conceivably refuse to install if they’re not there.

December 22, 2009 at 2:25 pm #9262Lee XSMemberHi icy,
For the installation, will this boot and load from disk in DOS?

You need to burn this iso onto a cd,
i always use a DVD R+W for it
this can be burnt with Ultraiso, which one i always use,
but here are lots of isoburners
Once you have an iso burnt, you need a free partition,
i use most of the time 4 Gb for it
Put the Cd or Dvd into the dvd enclosure and just reboot,
just like any other Windows OS CD
This one shall, i hope for you, intall without any intervention,
You will get 3 icons onto the desltop, these are:
my Computer, Windows Mediaplayer 11 and recycle Bin
I hope You understoodicy
