    Something makes me think that in a past version, BAE used to be able to store settings on a per-preset basis. I’m not seeing that being the case anymore. Was I wrong in that? Thanks.

    BAE never had the feature — I originally added it in BBP, after already branching off the BAE source code. I may add it to BAE though, probably while working on Breakaway HT (home theater).
