I have Ver: 3.19.34 I did not originally setup this Breakaway processor and we have developed a hard drive error so before the entire PC crashes I want to ensure that I have a full copy of the configuration which will enable me to reinstall Breakaway One on a new disk (in the same PC) with a minimum of fuss.
I see that one of the tabs says “Save preset” and “Save to PC” but is that all I need to do? That looks a bit too simple.
What about transferring the license from the failing disk to the new install?
Any advice would be welcome.
There’s a configuration backup as well. Common> System> System Information> Bottom right.
I believe you also need to save your presets, speaker setup (if configured), as well as your license information. As long as you’re using the same motherboard (MAC address), it should accept your license without needing to email support.
It couldn’t hurt to backup your %localappdata%\BreakawayOne folder, but I don’t know if it’s necessary.
I also find lots of screen prints are useful. Open your core, common, audio, preset, Stream etc pages and press Ctrl + PrtSc and then save the images in a document, and then back up that document with your configuration file.
