I recently downloaded the software and need some assistance setting it up.

Sound device I  am using is a Scarlett 6i6 and the main goal for live is to capture microphone input from the interface,  and Route it to my daw.

ASIo  viously is the better option here as I get extremely low latency while monitoring live.  The processed signal that is heard needs to be recorded  in the program .

So if I select ASIo IN Breakaway live,  then set mic  as the first input source,  that works out well until I get to the daw.  There aren't any Breakaway pipelines to record from unless I change the driver to wave or direct sound in my Daw and live.  Problem is bad latency

ANY TIPS on how to get this properly routed?

Perhaps what you need is something like this:

I have an 6i6 too, and i made an SPDIF loopback cable to route the audio thru Breakaway Live and the Scarlett Interface via the MixControl. I use it with OtsAV Playout system.

See my PDF on my Dropbox account.
It has several screenshots about the setup.

Select in the Out SPDIF tab which inputs you want to route thru Breakaway.
In your case select the Mic or Line input from the 6i6.

BTW: I use multiple Breakaway instances, but you can also use an single instance setup.

    Good luck.
