    Hi there, first of all i must say Bae is the best. However, i am not a sound engineer what i need to know is the purpose of these two settings. Does it make the bass sound louder. I hope you guys don’t think this is a stupid question. I am just a newbie trying to get some info. Thanks 😕

    I’ll give it a go… As far as my understanding… Bass is just a volume slider for how much bass you want or don’t want. The bass Shape is to curve the boost or decrease of bass higher or lower on the spectrum. If you want louder mid-bass, you would raise the bass shape if you want to get louder lower bass, you lower the slider. There’s tons more to it than that, but I think this is about right.

    Thanks for the little info, however i am running a system with the frequency response of the bass is 38 hertz. Shound i set the shape to 38 to get the best bass response.
