I bought an other pc .

Its an Amd Athlon 64×2 Dual Core 4400 +

I have clicks when i have no sound on the air ( no music )

Its like a ticking of a clock .

My souncard is the Esi@ julia en i use the latest software from the site all the settings are correct .

When i change to phase linear its better , but its not good working for my dj !

What could be the problem ?

When i see the taskmanager the cpu is about 34 % with no peaks .

i use this system only for BBP asio no internet connection or other software .

    check DPC Latency for starters

and mess around with buffers. it’s probably just that you haven’t optimized the buffers yet. 😉

    Thanks jesse ,

i install the program but there are no strange things i see on the display.
i also made yesterday a clean installation of xp en install everything again , only the Esi and BBP Asio.
But no results …still litle ticks in the on air sound .
Maybe its the cpu ? strange its around 34 % in taskmanager en the machine has 2gb memory .

What version of the VIA 4in1 drivers are you using? You might try an *older* version. Also be sure to try it with all networking & usb devices disabled on it, to make sure it’s not something like that causing lag spikes.

Could you please post a screenshot of Breakaway’s soundcard config with the lowest buffer settings you can use before it starts skipping? Or does it skip even with the highest possible settings?

Hi Jesse and other BBP users ,

I solved the problem overhere !
I disabled the usb and the network stuf and the clicks are gone 😛
Maybe other users who have troubles with Amd can use this solution !!

    Keep up the good work!

Yep, usually the 1st devices that cause troubles are networking & usb, because of bad/old drivers. Not the hardware’s fault. If you check the DPC Latency, with DPC Latency Checker (zing!), then you’ll SEE the huge difference in lag spikes with those devices on or off. 😉
